Update: Another cat shot from Justin Maxwell. What's interesting is that it always seems to be cats in synth shots. Never dogs, never birds, never rodents, never fish. What's with synth people being into cats? I'm into cats as well. So...
Update via the comments. Thought this was pretty funny.
"That's because dogs would be sitting on the floor, looking at you, going "I wuv woo, I wuv woo.."
Cats would be climbing up onto your gear going "For goodness sake, that's not how you patch a modular synth. Here, connect the OSC1 sync here and...
Bloody humans, think they're great at everything... Now where's my dinner?" "
Don't worry, I'll buck the trend:
ReplyDeleteI am allergic to cats. So I really don't like the lazy beasts. Give me a dog anyday. (A real dog, not one of them little foo-faa fluffy ones)

My Cat is ALWAYS trying to jump onto my Andromeda. If it can't get to that one it goes for the 2600. At least he has taste..

They just don't like anything else getting attention...
ReplyDeleteWhat anon. said. It's not about synthgeeks being more into cats, there are plenty of people into dogs, it's that dogs couldn't give two shits about synths, aside from the fact that the synths are keeping master from paying attention to them.
ReplyDeleteCats on the other hand, are naturally curious... and oooh, blinkie! What's that? Look, dangly cables, that looks like fun to bat around/chew on! etc.
My cat always runs into the studio when I go there. He'll rub his cheeks against any wood ends leaving his mark I hear. He'll then sit there and listen while I tweak. To get rid of him I just play something irritating for a bit. : )
ReplyDeleteLike Cat Stevens?
ReplyDeleteJust like the Cat and the Fiddle. ; )
ReplyDeleteNASTY CAT ASS ON PRICELESS BUCHLA MAKES ME SOOOOO ANNNGGRRY!!!!
ReplyDeleteOk. I'm better now.
My girl's cat Fu Manchu is a twin of Eric's cat and he likes to huddle under my modular seup 'cause that throws off the most heat. But the cat isn't allowed in the studio so a broom is standard equipment now.
