  1. Where's the bass?

Waldorf Synths, although much loved by so many, seem to remind me of a Waldorf Salad ... very WASP like.

I've really tried to love these Waldorfs, but I am reminded of that Fawlty Towers Waldorf Salad episode. It's like I order it for dinner, but am not fulfilled.

    Am I nuts?

  2. Waldorf's are strange beasts. They are capable of a HUGE range of sounds. Trust me, they are capable of bass. People just seem to showcase the sort of sounds they can do that no other synth can. The XT has standard sawtooth and pulse sounds along with the wavetables, so you can get that classic analog bass, but to some that's like asking for a burger at a fine restaurant - would be a damn fine burger though. : )

Actually a better analogy might be asking a chef to just make you a grilled cheese sangwich, yes with the g. ; )
