Analog Revolution - The Sound of the Century

"This is the story of the synthesizer, the entirely new class of instrument born out of the technological tumult of the 20th century. It had a revolutionary impact on the sound of the century, crossing all musical genres on the way. We hear how artists as diverse as Pink Floyd, Sun Ra, Herbie Hancock, and Doctor Who's Tristram Cary took to Bob Moog's invention with fervour, weaving it into the cultural fabric and popular psyche." Title link takes you there.

Update via the comments:

"I posted this on the analogue haven list yesterday. Hope everyone enjoys...don't forget part 2, it's called Transformer, and it should be up within the next few days."

  4. Matrix: Why do you keep posting all these cool things that eat up my productivity! ARRGH!

Anyway, wlglaf, I actually invented the Quantum Synthesizer some time in the next 3 years. The specific date is somewhat uncertain, but I am sure I invented it. It modulates both into the future and the past with it's TFO (time frequency oscillator) and PUG (probability uncertainty generator).

    I am taking pre-orders :)

  5. I hear yeah doktor, my question is why do I keep putting these posts up when I barely have time to get to them myself! : ) One of these days I'm going to post these great samples only to later find it was a sample of Kevin Federline.
