The Music Technology Labs at Evergreen State College

Ok, this is one of those "how the heck did I not know about this before" posts. Title link takes you to the pics page of The Music Technology Labs at Evergreen State College right in my back yard so to speak. They have Buchla, EMU and more. Thanks to sequencer.de for this one. Funny that I found out about this via Moogulator all the way over in Germany. : ) Thank you Moogulator!

P.S. I see a cat in the shot.

Hmm, let's see what else _might_ fall in that category.

It's been almost a week that Prophet64 cartridge is released and you haven't covered it. Which is, honestly, very odd! So I thought I'd give you the heads up on that.

  2. Umm... I covered that back in January. I didn't see the need to put up a new post. I try not to double post actually. The reason why I'm surprised I didn't know about the synths at the college is because it's in my back yard.

  3. BTW, if you see something come up on one of the other blogs that you would expect to find here, and I don't post it within a day, chances are I posted it already or I decided to pass just like the other blogs will pass on a lot of what I put up. I track everything on my blog roll to the right of the main page. If you see something not on one of those blogs, then let me know and I'll check it out. People send me stuff all the time.

  4. I did get the reason behind why you were surprised, which I find very funny. I was just going out of my way trying to stay on the topic, that's all!

That being said, I remember your coverage and your excitement about the cartridge. Since I don't read any of the blogs on your blog roll (with the exception of MT and AI), I wasn't sure if anyone posted anything about the "release" of the cartridge. Since the quantity's limited, I wanted to share the news with synth geeks who may want to purchase it but aren't aware that it's been released.

Anyways I'm sorry if I said something I wasn't suppose to. Next time I'll check out the Big List before sendimg anything. Keep up the good work.

    Peace,

  5. No worries. The more I think about it the more I realize I should have put up a new post announcing that it was available. I'll go do that now actually. Apologies if I sounded too defensive. I didn't realize who you were and thought you might be someone jabbing me. : ) You can never tell with writing.

  6. Funny that you found out about this Buchla on a german website and I found out about it on your website.

To quote Marge Gunderson from the movie Fargo "I'm not sure I agree with you a hundred percent on your police work, there, Lou."

You posted the same shot on 5/28/06 as "Buchla 2 - New Flickr Shots" and in the Flickr comments it mentions it is the Evergreen College system

  7. Mystery solved! I thought I saw and posted it before but I couldn't find it. I was searching for Evergreen. Thanks for commenting. : ) I'll leave the shot as is, as a reminder.

  8. BTW, great film Fargo. I love the scene with Prince, or "Symbol" the artist formaly known as... Well, not really a great scene, other than realizing it's him... Or is it?

  9. This is trivial I know: I was a system/server admin for mediaspace.evergreen.edu and had an office across the hall from this equipment.

To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.
