Aussie Babies Love the Jupiter 8

This one including title in via Ross. The title, of course, is in reference to this post. I thought the following blurb from Ross was pretty funny. Makes me wonder if I should have named my daughter Cynthia. : )

"It must be an Australian thing with babies and Jupiter 8s

My son OSCar( yes named after the synth, it was that or Roland
Oberheim), loves playing the Jupiter so much so he calls it Daddy, and
he doesnt call me daddy???:-)"

Thanks Ross. BTW, I thought of Roland Oberheim as well, but my wife killed that one pretty quickly, and we had a daughter, so...

  1. "Obie" could be a good boy name. Or nickname anyway.

  2. My friend used to play in a band with a keyboard player named Moogy Klingman. That was just the guy's name, a pure coincidence. Nothing to do with the famous Klingman synthesizer brand.

  3. People would confuse "Obie" with Star Wars, just like they confuse "Matrix" with "The Matrix." I was first damnit! I started the old Matrixsynth site in October of 1997, well before The Matrix movies. I also had the green on black design back then. It hasn't changed one bit.

  4. BTW, wouldn't it be cool if the green on black used in the movie was actually influenced by my first site. : ) That would make my day. Any Matrix fans out there?

  5. Matrix: Since quantum events travel in time in both directions, it is entirely possible that you inspired it, or are some how entangled with it.

  6. Well that makes me fell alot better about this blog. I always thought you were just some huge Matrix fan or something, matrix. I just accepted it and moved on, but it's good to know that you were first with the name and color scheme.
