"This is a Large 38 module CBS era Buchla 100 assembled around 1969/70. The System has undergone complete repair/restoration including refinishing of the cabinetry and cleaning of all the front panels and hardware. It looks sureal in person, the pictures don't do it justice."

nice synth
ReplyDeletecan you ask Rick if he can post any close-ups of each panel? The restoration works looks fantastic. I wonder how it sounds
ReplyDeleteNeeds more voltage processors. JUST KIDDING! If you guys actually knew how completely insane Rick is about these restorations... He made the wood guy re-do the finish... twice, and that was about a year ago. And it goes without saying that the signal path is as good or, more than likely, better than when each of those modules came out of the factory. Seriously, though, it needs more voltage processors.
ReplyDeletegod, it's beautiful... close-ups, indeed... i was imagining being a few inches tall in those pics.
ReplyDeleteI have solved the Buchla problem. Get Coagula, which can make music from a JPEG. Load the Buchla JPEG into Coagula, and hear the Buchla MP3.

Finally we can hear MP3's of even retro synths too precious to record and share, or imaginary synths that don't even exist.
Thanks Coagula!
I don't have any close ups at the moment but was considering adding a 100 series section to my buchla site along the same lines as the 200 section.
ReplyDeleteReed is right, the wood guy hates me know but he did a great job with a little.. er.. motivation.. he sure charged me enough.
In case anyone is wondering this system is up for sale.
contact me in private for details and price - it isnt cheap so please only serious buyers.

Of course it's up for sale! :) Buchla gear isn't worth it. Save your money and buy a Serge or one of the other great modulars available new. You won't regret it.
ReplyDeleteI am extra happy plus with my Modcan. Just ordered another rack yesterday.
