Casio MT 400V with Analog Filters?

No title link, just a few shots and details pulled from this auction. I've never seen one of these before. Anyone know if it actually does have analog filters and how it sounds?

Gotta love the descriptions you find on the bay. : )

"What a freak machine! Casio sometimes pull gems out of the bag, and this is one of them (model MT 400V) - has all the usual suspects i.e. cheesy presets and bop-a-long drums - where it all goes "ping" is with the awsomely funky analogue filter section at the end - you can send either the drums or the key sounds through this thing which has a swept filter with cutoff e.t.c. plus a bunch of other cool spacewarp additions to texture and shape your sounds to taste (see pictures). Pretty Hot Damn Thrilling ! Adds the cool juice to any track - in excellent working order, missing the tops to 5 of the sliders - doesn`t impair its` workability at all."

  1. I have one of these... just because it's analog (and this is) doesn't mean it's good though. Some ok sounds can be had if sent through effects etc...
I remember finding once a webpage that had details of how to mod the unit to allow you to route other things through the filter.

  2. warrantyvoid's the site you're thinking of. personally, i think the thing's great, especially if you implement all of oliver's mods. the addition of the arpegiator and overdrive (kind of) on the chorus makes this thing a blast to play, kinda hypnotic. if you expect it to sound like a minimoog then you'll be disapointed. it soundslike an old casio, but it sounds like a really good old casio. i got mine something like 3 years ago, before circuit bending became as popular as it is, subsequently i only paid 20-30$ for it, which makes it the best value amoung all the synths i own

  4. It's truly great little synth that can easily sound like the intro to Radiohead's I Might Be Wrong. The filter is very musical, and all the realtime sliders take it far beyond standard Casio pre-set fare.

  5. I bought one at a yard sale for $3 maybe 4 years ago and it's a great little synth. Sounds amazing through big speakers.

  9. Yeah, it's a "toy", but just listen to what it can do once you mod it so the filter self-oscillates at high resonance:
