  8. Think I found the problem. YouTube is down at the moment and they mention their videos on YouTube, so I'm guessing the have them embedded from there on site.

Ahh - don't be so hard on it. Remember - it's probably pushing 30yrs old now.

PAiA stuff wasn't so bad: inexpensive and functional. The biggest complaint I had about it is that the VCOs are Volts/Hz, so the glide/portamento never sounded quite right.

  10. These aren't so ugly, Paia gear just doesn't photograph well. Lots of reflections.

  11. Cute. Im the guy who is selling the paia gear in this post. No worries. i am actually not selling the system you see in the photo. i MAY sell the 3rd cabinet from the bottom. but i am going to keep the bottom two cabinets, the cabinet of sequencers (and in fact i've added another to make 4 in that box) and the power supply cabinet.

the stuff i am selling is actually extra 4700 systems that i have lying around, and as i mentioned perhaps the 3rd from the bottom case.

i have restored the paia system and upgraded many of the circuit components to improve the audio quality. a friend who has a moog system 10 said that he felt the paia modular was very moog sounding. thats true. it doesnt sound like yamaha, roland or korg. maybe a little sci but its a bit dirtier a la moog.

i posted those pictures because i dont have pictures of the actual stuff i am selling... yet. im working on it. i want to get them in some state of working order before i do.

glad you were inspired enough to capture these pictures. rest assured that the system will live with me in toronto as you see it and be an important part of my studio and live set up.

speaking of which. if you go to www.musicofsoftware.com you will see more pics of this in a live setting and there are live video there too of the modular in use.

  12. oh i should point out that the top cabinet is indeed messed up: it was not finished when i took the picture so just stuck a couple modules in place to take the pic. same with the 3rd from the bottom cabinet: it was also not finished. so thats why it looks a little messed up like one poster mentioned. since then i've consolidated the modules and it looks much better. up to date pictures will be posted soon.
