Here's another item by them.
"The Music Box is a simple and primitive designed controller. A sequencer
equipped with 18 banana patch points for controlling patchable analog
synthesizers or any patchable music system. It is something of an artifact.
Every switch, the cranking system, the panel, the triggers - all hand built.
The concept is simple. Turn the crank to activate switches and create a
sequence...Each of the 9 switches has 2 banana patch cables associated with it.
The Music Box is built into an extremely beautiful and very well built antique
case (lab no. 107). We consider this piece a true usable work of art - designed
as though it were locked away in a mad scientists attic for 100+ years and just
now discovered."

Reminds me of an old light chaser built out of microswitches and adjustable cams. I built one years ago to sequence xmas light strings. This was before that was a standard feature on a $4.99 string of lights...
ReplyDeleteDO NOT BUY FROM FOLKTEK!!!!! I WARN YOU THAT IF YOU WANT YOUR MONEY OR AN INSTRUMENT THAT WORKS TO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS....ARIUS BLAZE IS A LITTLE RAT
ReplyDeletei don't normally use all caps but you will get screwed if you buy from this guy
Folktek makes some of the sickest instruments I've ever seen or heard. These guys are insane. I would say cutting edge but maybe that's not the way to put it. Maybe cutting edge for 1935 but transported into the future. I've personally had a chance to play some of their things and was blown away!!! sorry the last person doesn't like these guys, I'm impressed to say the least.
