Rude 66 and Sugar Experimental Station

Via Gerry:
"First up is dutch electro artist Rude 66. This is a video of his live set from Monox in Glasgow last November. The kit list as far as I remember is as follows:
Roland TR-909
Boss DR-220E
Clavia Nord Micro Modular (used as a vocoder on Shaunna's vocals)
Waldorf Pulse
Alesis MMT8
A Windows laptop running a couple of softsynths
There's also a couple of other things in his rack that I can't identify at the moment.

Rude is a real synth head, a stalwart of the dutch techno and electro scene since the early '90s. As far as I know, his day job is running the CEM studios in Amsterdam, home to a large Serge Modular.

You can see the video at: link
Rude 66's site is at: link

Also shot at Monox is a video of Sugar Experiment Station, aka Neil Landstrumm and Tobias Schmidt.

The boxes getting banged in this video might or might not include:

Elektron Machinedrum
Korg Electribe ESX-1
Korg Electribe ES-1
Zoom FX
Yamaha QY-something sequencer
Clavia Nord Rack
Plus some more hardware that maybe the sharp-eyed will be able to identify.

Enjoy!

Percussa Audio Cubes

"AudioCubes is a tangible interface for sound design and exploration, under development at PERCUSSA. The interface consists of an arbitrary number of plastic cubes. Each of the cubes is capable of sound processing.

The cubes can be connected to a computer and can be programmed to process sound signals. By positioning and moving the cubes relative to each other, sound processing can be changed and a variety of sounds can be quickly designed and explored."

I love the retro look of these images.

EMS Putney

Imagine seeing this on the counter of your local pawn shop.

Update via the comments: "it's pauls boutique... they always have something interesting (if a little pricey). This never made it on their site for sale but was in the shop. I guess they figured a prettier penny was to be had at auction (the legitimate one)."

via this auction.  Note the auction claims this one is Brian Eno's. All for just 650 GBP! : ) You be the judge. I'm just putting this up because I like the thought of seeing a Putney sitting on a counter. Like one heck of a synth dream to me.

via Carlo

Update: BTW, readers, if any of you are too dumb to fall for this auction please post in the comments and let me know. Someone in the comments apparently thinks you are.
