it's a Baldwin Funmachine
ReplyDeleteNO. It's a Microkorg, dumbass. I should know. I own one.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous : you must be kidding, right ?
ReplyDeleteI, for one, appreciate suit & tie guy's answer. Thank you!
A microKORG... Hahahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteWhy is it the dumb ones are to dumb to register or post their name? LOL!
yep, funmachine.
ReplyDeleteand they are.. wait for it...
..
lots of fun.
So what does the fun machine do? I'm guessing the left section is bass. What do the knobs do and what does it sound like? Is it capable of electric piano sounds, organ, or both?
ReplyDeleteA funmachine is like an organ and a tape deck and a radio and a whole bunch of other stuff rolled into one. It was a workstation before a workstation was a workstation.
ReplyDeleteIts a Baldwin Fun Machine. Mine is just an organ with a drum machine no cassette deck or radio . It has auto-wah and a few other cheezy features. The best thing is the front panel which looks like Las Vegas at night. Not particularly exciting sound but certainly a novelty. The drum machine is the most interesting part.
ReplyDeleteI like the yellowish brown tone of the pic, and that sort of light leakage.
ReplyDeleteMakes it look very retro.
Same with the glasses.
One of the best pics in a while. There is a little art in it. Not just macro perspective :)
Yup, you got it. Its a fun machine! Check out the music on myspace you can hear the Fun Machine. myspace.com/brilliantgeographers
ReplyDeletei think i was at the same, "last chance" goodwill in seattle looking at this machine while this guy erik was buying it; if it's the same guy. he let me mess around with while he transacted the 10$ for it. quite a cool unit since it so small and thin and the bass keys are great with the easy and pleasey chord beats. there was a bigger funmachine there as well but i liked the smaller one better due to the size. good stuff but i like a bit more complexity in my cheezball organs; i love the hammond sounder!
ReplyDeleteThanks randy. I updated the post with that. BTW, what is the synth/organ in the image on your myspace page?
ReplyDeleteAny body know what it goes for these days?
