One Synth CDs

Ross sent me the following list of one synth only CDs. I put the ones available via Amazon on the right section of the site under CDs. BTW I previously had CDs, DVDs and Books all in the same section. I decided to break it out so it's easier to parse. If anyone knows where you can get the other CDs let me know and I'll update the list. For now I just created artist links, so what you'll find will be hit and miss.

  4. That's right. Roger O'Donnell's The Truth in You. I added it and Elain Radigue to the list.

  5. any chiptune track?

Alec Empire. Alec Empire's CD titled "Les Étoiles Des Filles Mortes" uses only a mixer, a Six-Trak and an Atari Falcon

  6. Heh... my ex-wife programmed a few computer game CDs for Mort Subotnick. He (and his family) are creating software to teach kids how to read music these days.

  7. Wow - Douglas Leedy sounded like a familiar name. Turns out he's a friend of my folks. Lives in Oregon's Willamette valley and is still active in music although apparently not very interested in electronic instruments these days. Sadly, he is very ill and becoming something of a recluse.

  8. Vangelis' "Beauborg" is entirely Yamaha CS-80. But be warned that it's one of his more "difficult" often non-melodic albums.

  9. Sorry, the spelling is "Beaubourg" coincidently (or not?) the part of Paris the Centre Pompidou and IRCAM are located. It might be a parting shot of his at that community as well as a record done to fulfil a major label contract he was no longer happy with.

Another comment is a fair number of one synth albums I own never made it to CD.

Carlos' early works were all partly custom Moog 900 series though some Yamaha organ was snuck into some later ones. Then her early digital era ones were esentially all GDS developed sounds coming out of offspring instruments like the Synergy and Mulogix.
