Time to get an ASB?

According to this electro-music.com thread, Creamware filed for bankruptcy on Dec 18, 2006. There is no info on thier site.If anyone knows more about this, please feel free to comment. This is unfortunate as I hear they make some of the best emulations if not THE best out there. I had my mind set on the PRODYSSEY (12 Odysseys in a knob laden little box). It might just be time to pick one up if you've been thinking about it as well.

  1. Yes, they filled insolvency on that day. I had a look in the official court infos available online. It was then posted a few weeks ago on the Waldrf mailing list.

  2. That never means a business is folding, it just means that they will receive court protection from creditors until they can sort out their finances.

Many businesses return from "the brink"

If they would just release that "music easle ASB" for $3000 all their problems would be solved.

  3. Not the first time this has happened with Creamware, they filed for protection from creditors in 2003, too. So, it doesn't necessarily mean they'll fold. Although, how many times one company can survive such procedures, I don't know.

  4. Sighup is right. I would add that Creamware, like Hartmann, and other german companies, was *unable* to provide a decent after sales service to its customers, who didn't hesitate to purchase high level and *expensive* synths. Anyway mine are nice and if you own creamware synths, keep them at home (particularly the first ones). Good ideas and no business spirit to sum up.
