"I see people have been discussing it. Just to clarify, this unit puts out a full 4 octave range from its quantized outputs and does it well. I believe that at maximum position, some of the quantized steps will put out a major 3rd above the 4th octave and others put out a 4th above the 4th octave.
In addition, we just posted a video of this particular Oberheim Mini-Sequencer to Youtube to demonstrate that it's working well. We feel that the modifications done to this unit make it much more useful than the stock Oberheim Mini-Sequencer. It can be seen here:"
my lame opinion but.... I too have noticed a lot of sniper attacks and trolling on this and other music sites lately. I can't stand that kind of passive aggro s*** but i do argue in favor of leaving anonymous comments in place. just a gut feeling. Been a lot of fun blogging on here lately, Matrix!

I have two miniseqs and both hit their top notes perfectly.
I've got 4 ARP Sequencers and I've seen this in all of them in non-quantized mode. Resistors (like potentiometers) naturally vary - it's in their specs, so I don't think this is abnormal either.

Thus his unit is broken or out of calibration.
The top note should be exactly 5 volts.
Apparently, this particular Mini Sequencer does have unquantized outs in addition to quantized outs.

"This mini sequencer is unique in that its got additional patchpoints on the back. We think these were factory modifications because we've seen the same work on other Oberheim SEM type products. The following additional jacks are present: CV in, CV out, VC2 out, Unquantized 1 and 2, gate in, gate out."
These are good mods to have.
The quantized outputs should work properly for $999.

No, apparently YOU don't know your stuff, Mr. Anonymous Poster.
The stock jacks, on the "top" of a Mini Sequencer are:
Seq 1 out (quantized), Seq 2 out (quantized), ARP Clock, Moog Clock, Ext Clock, S/H in, Noise Out and S/H out.
If you saw Minime's extra photos of the back of this unit (which he says are available by request), you'd see all the extra jacks added to the back of the unit. They're exactly as he described them.

A 4+ octave range is fine. That's more than you get out of an ARP Sequencer's quantized outs.
I don't believe the Oberheim manuals or literature even state a voltage / octave range for this sequencer. Can someone point to an Oberheim document that supports this?
If you're going to make claims, put your name on them and site your references.
