Over 2 million hits!

I just passed 2 million hits today. That's real people, not search bots. I hit 1 million on Nov 10, 2006. That's an additional 1 million hits in under 6 months. I started the blog under two years ago, on July 20, 2005 with a somber post. My anniversaries will always be bittersweet. This current post marks number 7,127 since I started the blog. Thanks for the ride so far.

BTW, if anyone visited this blog back when it started, I'd be curious to hear from you. Please feel free to comment. I'd also love to hear when everyone started visiting this blog and how you discovered it. If you have the time, please feel free to comment, and please feel free to use the anonymous account if you don't have time to sign up. Trust me, I am the same way. That's why I've left the anonymous comments open.

Thanks for visiting my site everyone.

cheers,
matrix

  1. bout 6 months ago when searching on a bogus korg product that someone doctored.

i started reading through all the past stuff, and was blow away by all the auctions, photos, videos, news, and people talking..

it helped me sell my jupiter 8.. :) i swear. this place has been great for me.. i'm so stoked about it.. i read it daily now. i used to be on sonic state, but that got old. I was on harmony central for a while too. boring. analog heaven mailing list is still ok, but not that active.. but this is like a wet dream for people who love synthy gadgets. and hard to find video and auctions on rare stuff. i think it simply kicks major ass!

i hate all the keyboard magazines now. And most of the gear sites like gear slutz is a bunch of bull shit product placement trolls who try and talk bs about their products and over hyping them. i don't get that crap here. and i love it for that.

So for me. its all about this blog and the prosound web with terry manning. everything else on the net in regards to synths and music production is complete horse feces..

  2. Congratulations Matrix!

I honestly don't remember exactly when I first found matrixsynth...it has been at least a year probably more. I think I followed a link from Music Thing or some other music related blog/site.

    Keep up the great work.

  5. I found Matrixsynth, early on, via some post on Analog Heaven. Been visiting ever since. It's one of the best synth resources I've found. Adding the forums is a good upgrade, too.

On a tangentially related note: I love my RSS reader and RSS feeds. :-)

  6. Sincere gongratulations mr. Matrix!

I have been a regular for a year but I mostly prefer to lurk and enjoy the pron.

For some reason your blog is apparently my favourite. It must be coz I visit it about 4 times a day minimum. It must be something to do with the fact that matrixsynth is one of the only blog that don't piss me off in the long run. Its a quality blog, don't get me wrong, but more importantly it provides very good annoyance-to-gear-pron ratio. Only e few blogs have the ability to provide constant feed of things above irritation ,)

If there is something to be wished in the future, it would be less electribe flikrs and more european ebay actions. Otherwise than that I hope you continue to upkeep this splendid blog!

    All the best,
    A

  7. CONGRATS Matrix...

I started about a year plus ago... I chanced upon your blog when I was searching for "synthesizers". In my country we were brain washed because of monopoly of only a few brands. When I came to your site, that's when my eyes opened for the first time as I got introduced to modular synthesis, DIY synths, brand names (other than the more commercial players like Roland, Yamaha, Korg, etc)...

It also influenced my music making... all the bleeps and bloops, and noise. Love it... love the comments by a few regulars here. Made friends from all over the world through here. Got really interested in Vintage synth... There's just so much to say!

Ok ok in any case. It's my daily visit now and I was so down when I was overseas and does not have internet access.... See what you have done!? LOL All the best Matrixsynth!

  9. I first started my Matrix addiction about a year ago - came here via a Music Thing link...and I visit this site a lot.

No...really. A LOT. Like to where I'm starting to think about finding a copy of Firefox that only browses Matrixsynth and Synthwire.

Great job - keep it up!

  16. it's like an addiction. sometimes i slightly resent you for posting so much, like i should be orchestrating world peace or something, but instead i'm geeking out on synths.

To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.
