  1. from memory, i can recall that it was a monophonic single vco lead/solo synth with preset voices and a *very* limited architecture. i got mine from a church charity auction about five or six years ago and promptly sold it as it was of very limited use musically (for me) the organ sounds very good if you like that sort of thing and it had an anlalog preset beat box with the typical waltz and rhumba sounds.
as far as the orbit went, it had 'vibrato' and 'wah' switches as well as a preset bright and low filter setting. maybe octave too but i can't remember. what i do remember is that it also had a built in tape recorder so you could record some of this awesomeness and play it later for other....people. i used to like the beat box sounds.

  2. Weird. I just played one of these about two weeks ago.

I thought it was amazing. Tons and tons of character. The little keyboard isn't limited to basic single-osc sounds. You can rout a bunch of organ-ish presets to it. It also has a killer sounding leslie and an arpeggiator. I wanted to take it home with me. Ha.

  3. I used to be selling 630 and 950 models in the year 1981 at my fathers musicstore.
Human voice, whistling sounds, glenn miller big band and even symphonic strings are possible to registrate with this marvelous organ!
By the simplicity of the organ nobody would expect the enormous potential of sounds to create.
The Drum machine offers in the same way by mixing presets more rythmes as shown at the display!
I gonna buy again an Wurliter 625 after all kind of organs I've owned before. It sounds really great!
