  1. Well I'm no expert in German...but I think he said that there's only 2 Wavetables, the same as on the Q and microQ, no audio in, and no audio over USB. Lame. The LCD interface is nice, but where is the innovative spirit which gave rise to the Microwave XT and Q???

  4. Yeah the display kicks ass, but everything else is pretty lackluster. You might as well get a used micro q for less than half of the price of this. I see nothing really new here.

  5. I'd say this is Waldorf's money-maker which will help them get some working capital. Also who knows if there are some innovative features to be unveiled in updates? It's a great-sounding synth at a very nice price point. If you want innovations, I'd say they will be on the other synths coming out.

  6. Yeah, but you can get the same sounds from a used micro q for $250 on ebay without all of the limitations of the blofeld. I understand what you are saying about this being their money maker. I would like to see the Stromberg come to fruition eventually. I'm guessing it is still at least a year away though.

  7. to get a used microq right now is the worst decision you can make ,because:

this thing (blofeld) it has new dsp,it can have far more voices, better display and more logical matrix table for more convenient editing ,fxs of 2007 and not 2000, over 3 times the memory of microq, a waldorf editor ,usb connectivity etc

propably it will have better sound (better da for sure) and time has passed maybe the new version of the filters etc will be greater

if you add to these the fact that you can buy it NEW (no guarantie worries, pleasure when you first open up the box ;) i think it's more than evident why blofeld is such a better buy than microq.

if microq price drop to 100 (less than komplexer) only then iw ould consider buying it

  8. yeah, I agree. this thing is at a decent expected price point and it has plenty to outgun the old micro q.

thing is it was due last may if I'm not mistaken and it's still pretty much vapor :(

and what's worse, they might just start shipping it before it's actually finished because waldorf.

  9. How exactly is it vapor when you've just seen a video of a working unit?

  10. is it a production unit? if it is then you can have it.
