ReplyDeleteTho "electro" is really more harder and faster than the Human League ever was. I think they meant synthpop...that's where you'd find something like "electro boy"
electro is 808 + vocoder. They'd never have a girl playin stand-up Simmons.
Still, the hatred of jazz was no doubt shared between the two genres regardless.

The basslines remind me of Nitzer Ebb etc :-)
check out Japanese Telecom. They use some real heavy electro-bass.
