images via this auction

"STEPP DGX Midi controler guitar. This model is from 1987 and is in MINT CONDITION. The STEPP DGX was far ahead of it's time as was a lot of the midi technology of the 80's. It is a very versatile instrument, each string can be assigned it's own parameters and midi channel, the guitar can be sculpted to your own touch. The fretboard can be switch on to remember and sustain hammered on notes or chords whilst playing other parts with your right hand. The 2 foot pedals can be assigned to a wide variety of functions.

The original manual is included and the guitar is switchable between 110 VOLTS and 240 VOLTS."

  2. The battery is soldered to the motherboard inside, I believe. THere is a guy in UK who bought the Step stock and currently offers spares and support for these rarities.
www.stepptechnologies.co.uk/dgx.htm I believe is the link.

I have a problem with mine - i cannot get the srings to sound at the same volume. Some are much 'louder' than others. It also creates a nuber of false notes with velocities 1-10 that are not audible, but seen in the sequencer. I really would like to fix mine. It is potentially an amazing controller, once you ger everything to work as intended.

If anyone has similar problems please e-mail me. Thak you. Stan
