images via this auction"This is a great mono synth and was fully functioning until one day,after not playing it for 6 months or so,i turned it on and all the keys were playing the same note.this problem also seems to affect the fine tuning knob and portamento which were working before.All other functions are working as they should.These include the filter,envelope,pulse width,attack bend tone,touch control,octave shift and all the preset sounds."

I think this is Yamaha's first synth ever.
Known and recognized mostly for the "growlpet" sound.
My band uses one of these, and it is a pretty incredible and funky synth.
Though I'd like to get the more road-worthy sy-2 some day.
