  2. TRY this - play octaves, like C-to-C, but add the 4th and th 5th in there too (F and G). Right now you're not playing chords fully and Alaska has amazing fatness due to this.

    If I recall right, start with Eb-Ab-Bb-Eb (over the V Bass), slide that "shape" down to Db, then to C - there's your start...
