  1. That just makes me annoyed that I lost the last Synthacon on eBay by like $7.29. I hope Livewire reisues more Synthacon modules like they said they would...

  2. i just got the sequencer 151 off ebay,
the bottom row doesn't work, but I'm gonna get my tech to fix it.... I've been searching ebay for this sequencer for about 10 years... wow, its just as cool as I had hoped!!!

  3. What spring or other reverb are you running that through? I assume the sequencer also has a cinch jones jack that just plugs straight into the back of the Synthacon.

My Synthacon is my fav synth. It's in a class by itself. Modular filters like CGS, Livewire, etc can kinda imitate the Synthacon filter but those oscs are half the sound.

  4. hi,

I ran it through the reverb on one of my Boss Se-70 setting #81 Rev+Delay. Yeah its using the six way cinch-jones jack, which turns the sample and hold into cv + gate... esentially the S+H triggers the envelopes! CV #1 is used for pitch (S+H CV in) lovely idea... there more than one way to trigger the synthacon.
I love this thing more than ever, I used to get mad because it wouldn't scale properly with my midi to cv gate adapter.. maybe I have better luck with this new style of triggering..

  5. Mine seems to track pretty well to my Kenton ProSolo for at least 3 octaves as far as I've tested. I bought a cinch jones jack and was able to access the Gate in but I use the actual CV jack on the back. That leaves the S&H input for my own modulations from other sources.

  7. do you think the tracking has to do with those trim pots near the osc's? the little screwdriver thingies?

I am starting to think the synthacon has the potential to be sequenced by TWO sequencers at once.... CV1 goes to the sample and hold for a "arpeggio" really its any type of sequence..... then CV2 transposes the first sequence, ala key changes... incredible! fine midi can do it all but nyle steiner had everything covered pretty good for 1975! I personally love two different cv's! what a difference!
    great synth, sounds unbelievable.
