    Simply put - this company made devices purely to process incoming MIDI data ... This one would allow you to filter out MIDI "aftertouch", "pitchbend", "controller" data, etc. Not nearly as exciting as the name implies.

    Back in the old days when buffer RAM and bandwidth were at a premium, a device like this was quite useful for preventing finicky midi modules from locking up.

    ... and quite cool, because the Anatek pocket products were all powered by the MIDI stream itself.
