those patch switches are contact points,not switches... touch the one labeled manual and all the knob settings take over ...after you set the patch in manual mode you touch the memory point and at the same time the the number of the patch you want to save and wait about 3 seconds until the light stops blinking, your fingers enable the circuit (!) at that point you have saved the settings of all the black knobs on the synth. to change between patches you now just touch the number you want...but you can only use the grey topped knobs to diffle with ...that was the state of the art way back when Reagan was president ....see ya
