Future Music Synth Girls

Waldorf Microwave XT/XTk factory demo

YouTube via MisterArray
"This is a recording of the internal factory demo which came with the Waldorf XT and XTk line of synthesizers." You can find the ful size image in the vid here.

via Mr. Array:
"It's some promo image from Future Music Magazine from way back in the day when the Waldorf XTk was still in production. There were two other versions of this as well, one which depicted a black haired girl holding a Yahama CS6x, and another with a girl holding a Novation SuperNova. The CS6x image was available online at one point, but I've never personally seen the SuperNova version. Either way, I can't find either of the latter two online at this point :( Maybe some of your readers have these images?" Anyone?

Update via Mr. Array: "I found a small thumbnail of the Yamaha version"

  1. I have the spanish version of the FM issues with the XTk and CS6x on the cover, but I have no scanner at home. I lusted for an XTk for years, thanks to that issue. I eventually found an XT but still want a 30-voice XTk.

  2. I have them. All three. Somewhere... Not sure I want to feed this "synthgirl" fanaticism by scanning and posting them, though.

  5. Correction: Oct 99 is the Nova, not the Supernova.

  6. There may be others, the part of my collection that I've been through ends right around there, and I didn't find this xtK picture or a Supernova. I might have them, but they'd be in a box somewhere...
