NSFW bit at 1:04 and 1:05. I haven't watched the whole thing yet, so watch at your own risk.

I caught the back end of it and it's got a great piece on the early days of Kraftwerk with Wolfgang Flur. He's a really nice guy and it's worth watching for that alone!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this! It's very well done, and thorough.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
ReplyDeleteGreat footage of Faust (featuring an ARP 2500!) @ 5:41 on part 4!
ReplyDeleteHey what about Nico? Harmonia's music is the perfect combination of everything. I recommend Harmonia "Live 1974" cd to hear what 3 guys can do live. Kluster "1970-1971" is an ear opener too. I wish the BBC (or anyone else) would do a documentary on David Tudor and EAT, America's lost electronic music culture.
ReplyDeleteJust watched the whole thing. No more NSFW moments. Just watch the faqing thing already.
ReplyDeleteI think 1:24 - 1:39 is much worse then 1:04 and 1:05! =:-o
ReplyDeleteJust kidding! LOL
RE: Nico. She was the opening act for Tangerine Dream @ that French cathedral. I'd like to think that she also had a bit to do w/ the re-consecration of the church! ;-) RE: NSFW, Renate from Amon Duul II says "F***" RE: finding Baader/Meinhoff @ the Duul house... Thanks for linking to this Matrix; there was a LOT of great footage there!
ReplyDelete-andrew bunny
somebody knows whats the ambient background music playing,i did hear the same track on an completely different documentary nothing to do with music?
ReplyDeletethe music playing in the video is usually by the artist/s that they are talking about at the time.
ReplyDeletei like the doco, is it from the same crew as the synth britannia one?
are there more non-rock bbc documentaries worth checking?
