"The second panel is finished - its the upper panel in the test. It contains, from left to right: 3 VCO's, 3 channel mixer, dual low pass gate, steiner filter, bi-n-tic filter, cascading band pass filter. In this video I am testing the bi-n-tic and LPG using some control voltage from the sequencer panel. The Yellow geiger counter is the power supply."

This songs called 'Millenium'.
I met Denkitribe in a DS-10 event that held with small club of Tokyo.
He performed a wonderful tune 'Sentinels'.
I was impressed by his performance. However, his name of a song has been forgotten.
I said to him, "It is a wonderful tune, 'Millenium'!!".
Mr.Denkitribe laughed.
"It is a good name of a song:-)"

I recalled that, and named this tune "Millenium":-)"

David Vorhaus Analogue Electronic Music 1979

YouTube via JeffreyPlaide

"In this historical video excerpt, David Vorhaus talks about two of his analogue inventions - the MANIAC analogue sequencer, and the Kaleidophon from 1979. The MANIAC (Multiphasic Analog Inter-Active Chromataphonic (sequencer)) was an analogue sequencer having variable step lengths, and the ability to split sequences into several smaller groupings giving considerable sonic potentiality. Addition and subtraction of events was possible, as well as the possibility to chromatically correct the output during performance. David could program his MANIAC sequencer to play a background rhythm or combination of musical events, to then improvise over the top with another instrument or synthesizer. The Kaleidophon was a double-bass-like instrument using four velocity-sensitive ribbon controllers instead of strings. The instrument is played entirely using the left hand, leaving the right hand free to manipulate the sound via a number of controllers and a joystick. David speaks about the processes of making electronic music, and the developments that such possibilities can provide for the imaginative electronic musician. This excerpt is taken from the BBC 1979 documentary entitled "The New Sound of Music" hosted by Michael Rodd."

Update via Mark Jenkins in the comments: "David Vorhaus now has a new version of the M.A.N.I.A.C. sequencer designed as a complete music system on a PC, and a new custom built MIDI version of the Kaleidophon controller. We've been performing as a duo with this setup for a couple of years, including shows in Holland, Germany, China and France as well as the UK. And yes, we have been playing "Cygnus Constellation", the piece heard at the end of this clip :-) The next show is in London on Saturday November 28th at the Greenwich Planetarium, where we'll be performing new White Noise music, and my own planetarium show "Supernova" which has a complete computer graphic backing. Tickets from the National Maritime Museum (£18.00 I think if sales aren't already live on their website www.nmm.ac.uk) and there are early and late shows the same evening. Hope to see some of you there - Mark Jenkins"

" Electro-Harmonix Effectology, Vol.7 Reverb Tricks

Welcome to Electro-Harmonix's "Effectology" series, in which we create a remarkable collection of sounds using just a regular guitar and EHX effect pedals!
No keyboards, samplers or midi pickups were used.

In today's episode studio musician Bill Ruppert demonstrates some old and new effects using reverb.

Each one of the four sounds in this video has the reverb positioned in unusual places within the signal chainproof once again there is no correct way to order your effect pedals.

There is a clip of the new Cathedral Stereo reverb using the brilliant "Infinite" switch.
Its really a beautiful sounding reverb.

EHX Pedals featured:Soul Preacher,Holy Grail,MicroSynth,English Muff'n, Stereo Memory Man.

Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 Analog Synthesizer Rev3.3

via this auction

"Model 1000 Rev 3.3. Serial # 1000-5732. Mint working condition. Serviced by Wine Country Sequential in San Jose, CA within the past 30 days. The unit went through a thorough diagnostic check at Wine Country Sequential in August 2009, by some of the original technicians from Sequential Circuits. The back-up battery was replaced and a new RAM IC board was installed, along with the original 120 factory preset programs. All 61 rubber keystops for the keyboard were replaced with new ones. The playing action is beautifully liquid now. A regulatory reliability modification was also done (regulator connection was reinforced with J-wires to prevent damage during transport). This was highly recommended by the Wine Country technician.

This unit looks, sounds, and plays phenominal. It has the following features:
* 120 editable factory presets with incredible sounds ranging from pianos and organs to string and brass instruments
* 5 polyphonic voices (each voice contains 2 voltage-controlled oscillators)
* Separate pitch and modulation wheels
* Analog (5 pin) and Digital (4 pin) system interface connection jacks
* Four jacks for monophonic digital sequencer interface connections
* Release footswitch jack
* 115V electric supply"

"Tracks that are on this record claim musicianship no more than birds may with their singing - sound is nothing but a product of objective reality, captured on
record, representing a loosely structured harmony of motion

this work is a sort of abstract, intimate observation of my studio, which is also a workshop where I work on my self-made synthesizers

i just let several devices run freely, almost without intervening in the process of sound extraction, but rather taking on the role of an observer, or even a witness"

"Berlin, September 21st, 2009 - Native Instruments recently released TRAKTOR PRO 1.2, a free software update for the latest generation of its digital DJ products including the DUO and LE versions. The update brings many improvements that make the latest TRAKTOR generation even more powerful and convenient, including extended performance effects, state-of-the-art keylock quality, advanced controller display support and more.

To give DJs even more possibilities for creative sound shaping, the comprehensive performance effects section of TRAKTOR PRO has been further expanded in version 1.2. The number of independent effect sections has been doubled from two to four, now allowing users to assign different multi-FX configurations to each of the four full-featured decks. The comprehensive list of effect types in TRAKTOR PRO has also been expanded further with the introduction of the new Formant Filter, Peak Filter and the powerful Beat Slicer.

Keylock quality has been improved once more in TRAKTOR PRO 1.2 with the addition of the latest Z-Plane Elastique timestretching technology. The new version also utilizes the advanced functions of the Pioneer CDJ-400 and Denon HC-4500 controller hardware including display support, and marks the first and only DJ software platform that offers user-customizable HID controller assignments.

Further improvements in version 1.2 include enhanced cue point handling, a new deck caching technology with reduced memory footprint, a wide range of further optimizations for the unparalleled MIDI control features of TRAKTOR, and much more. Most improvements of the 1.2 version are also included in the corresponding TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO, TRAKTOR DUO and TRAKTOR LE updates.

The 1.2 update is now available as a free download for all owners of TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO and TRAKTOR PRO as well as the DUO and LE versions.

More information on the new version can be found at
