"This is my home made Analog Modular Synth playing on its own in real time.
No Midi, Keyboard, knob twisting, overdubs or computer. I built every module with designs or PC Boards from MFOS, CGS, Electro-Music.com and wherever else I could scrounge schematics.
I just finished building the Electro-Music Klee sequencer (The black faced panel on the desk a few minutes into the vid) - This is its first recording.

"From Optigan.com! This is a quick audio demo of the first NEW Vako Orchestron disc since 1975 - MARIMBA. This is a recording of an acoustic marimba from the original Optigan/Orchestron master tapes. This particular sound never made it onto any Optigan or Orchestron disc... until now! Please note that my Orchestron is not in the greatest health, and I also live close to some radio towers that cause some pretty bad interference. Hum, buzz, radio intereference and the occasional scratchy key contact should be disregarded in your evaluation of the quality of the marimba sound.
We are now taking pre-orders for this disc at http://www.optigan.com/shoptigan/. The initial run will be limited to 25 copies, and we will require 15 pre-orders before we go to press."

New 2009 Vako Orchestron Disc - MARIMBA
MARIMBA is an entirely NEW sound for the Orchestron. The source is an acoustic marimba recording from the original Optigan/Orchestron master tapes. This marimba scale was never used for any Optigan or Orchestron disc... until now!
As soon as we have 15 pre-orders, we'll go to press and start shipping. It's unlikely that there will be sufficient demand to do a second run of 25 of these discs, so your best bet is to buy as many of these as you need while you can! Any future additional copies will most likely be done as one-offs, which are twice as expensive to produce, and thus will cost twice as much.
PLEASE NOTE: This disc WILL NOT play properly in an Optigan! They WILL play, but the sounds will NOT be mapped correctly to the keyboard- they will be mapped mostly haphazardly across the chord buttons. Please don't order this disc expecting to easily use it in an Optigan. In the future we will be porting the Orchestron sounds to the Optigan- please be patient! :)

Update via Qwave in the comments: "I own one o these too. IThe Stringsection is 100% technically identical to the ELKA Rhapsody 610 http://till-kopper.de/elka.html. Only some sliders are missing. The monophonic synth is a build in ELKA Solist 505.
Jarre used one of these with some optical extras for the very first China tour to play the "Last Rhumba" live."

Korg MS-20 Modded
via this auction"This MS-20 is a one of a kind, uniquely modded. Instead of a CV keyboard, it has tons of added features listed below. These mods add so much depth and flexibility. it takes the Ms-20 to another level! I've gotten sounds out of this that easily match any Arp 2600, and it can do so much more. Combine the three outputs from Osc1 into the mixer and you get insane fat bass lines like a Minimoog. Split original signal with a little reverb signal to get a stereo signal and you get some very nice space to your sound. It's incredible, especially if you have another Ms series synth to connect with it. Definitely a cool piece of gear, but I just don't have room to keep it and already have enough synths as is. Everything part of the original Ms-20 appears to be functional except the LED to the Envelope generator 2 doesn't light up when the envelope is triggered. Should be an easy fix, and doesn't effect the sound. Most mods appear to be working, though there are a couple I can't quite figure out how they work, so maybe you can figure out just what the mods do. Probably the coolest part is having another LFO to mod the lo and hi pass filters, get them going at different rates and it sounds amazing. Also of note, in the mixer section, one knob is missing, but you can still work it fine.
Here are the mods from left to right, described to the best of my ability.- Touch sensor 1/8 inch jack.
- Midi jack. I haven't quite figured out how to use this, I believe you can trigger with midi, the little figure below the input shows it working for modulation wheel and momentary trigger
- Keyboard 1/4 jack
Touch sensor section:
- Attack release knob, positive or negative waveshape
- Decay amount
- Velocity level
- Touch press level knob, + or +/- SYM switch
Reverb section
- input balance between 1 or 2
- defeat switch- dry out mix wet

- frequency (w/ led indicating freq length)

Silver Casio VL-10

Aaaaaah, the VL-10. This is what made CASIO the best company in the 80ies world. smooth design and State-of-the-Art technology. Has only 3 very similar sounds (one sound with different envelopes) but a 100-step sequencer and the classical VL-1 rhythms (but they sound very thin). It also features 2 loudspeakers at front and back - one for the melody, one for the rhythm. Nothing but great. One of my favourites. And incredible rare, I can tell you... it took me 3 years to find one boxed!"
