"Questi sono i primi minuti de 'L'uomo amplificato',un lavoro teatrale de L'aquila Signorina Terzadecade sulla vita dello scienziato sovietico Lev Sergeyevich Termen, inventore del theremin, lo strumento musicale elettronico che si suona senza alcun contatto fisico. Come gli altri esterni del video che accompagna lo spettacolo, anche la prima parte di questo filmato è stata girata a Rapallo. Seguendo le note del thereminvox di Pamelia Kurstin sarete condotti nelle atmosfere astratte di Synchromy n°2 (1935) di Mary Ellen Bute, la cineasta sperimentale americana che venne in contatto con Termen alla fine degli anni'20. A quella New York in fermento allude il brano musicale iniziale (2nd. movement of "First Airphonic Suite for RCA Theremin and Orchestra") per theremin e pianoforte, scritto da Joseph Schillinger nel 1929 e interpretato da Lydia Kavina. These are the first minutes of 'Man amplified', a theatre work by Terzadecade L'aquila Signorina. The show is dedicated to the life of the soviet scientist Lev Sergeyevich Termen (better known as Leon Theremin), inventor of the theremin, the only analogic electronic instrument that you can play without any physical contact. Like the other exteriors displayed during the show, also the first part of this sequence has been shot in Rapallo (Liguria - Italy). Following the tones and loops of Pamelia Kurstin's thereminvox, you will be lead to the abstract atmospheres of "Synchromy n°2" by Mary Ellen Bute (1935). The young film maker met Termen during his stay in New York and the same happened to Joseph Schillinger, who, in those years, wrote many composition for theremin and orchestra. The video itself starts with one of them. It's a lieder (2nd. movement of "First Airphonic Suite for RCA Theremin and Orchestra", written in 1929), featuring a theremin, played by Lydia Kavina, and a piano. By the way, many other composers (such as Edgar Varese) and conductors (such as Stokowski) payed frequent visits to Termen's studio in Fifth Avenue, being interested in combining new and old musical instruments within their work."

Aj Gannon’s Toy Volcano

via GetLoFi where you'll find the download. "Toy Volcano is Gannon’s fifth official release. This album is a combination of ukulele, kazoo, handmade electronic instruments (pictured below), and various sampling and recording applications. The instruments have demo videos which can be found “here“.

Upon the official release of the album in December there will be a final demo video of the actual Toy Volcano which you can see pictured below in the center of the collage, plus an additional track produced for The Beatles Complete on Ukulele project found “here“.

Gannon is Aj Pyatak with special guests Jim Diotte, Bev Diotte, Bryan Tysinger, Beth Pyatak and Nova Pyatak.

the initial audio you hear is what is being fed into the external audio input from Digital Performer (which is, incidentally, a recording of the 200e). then i turn the external audio down & activate the 281e stage to open the gate to a 261e when it receives a pulse (which is coming from the 227e envelope follower)... did that make sense?"
