Two prototype Mopho Keyboards. One in yellow and one in black. Which do you prefer? Vote below the image of the man behind the machine, Dave Smith.

I had a short but nice conversation with Dave Smith. He is so down to earth!

Dead even. Lolz.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the yellow border pays homage to the original Mopho, it clashes with the gray front panel. If the front panel were yellow also, with black text, like the original Mopho, that would be, well, irresistable...
ReplyDeleteI thought the contrast looked pretty sharp in person. It's a prototype and the grey is shiny. I'm guessing and hoping it will be mat in the final version. I preferred the yellow myself, but the black goes better with the TETRA. It was a damn cute synth! Much smaller than I expected.
ReplyDeleteThe black is classy but the yellow is really cute
ReplyDeletewow its even, didnt expect that - yellow is a no-no
ReplyDeleteIn the photos heading into NAMM i was all for the darker boarder...but once I saw the yellow in person..it stole my heart in seconds. After all, the form factor of the mopho kb is a performance/stage/portable nature... GO BIG!
ReplyDeleteThe mopho kb is the DSI equivalent to the Virus Indigo series...ultra compact. The yellow looks fantastic! It's a perfect ferrari 'fly yellow' off of a california GT spyder!
