"An idea of my dream instrument - touchscreen interface."

Update: 0002 added below

"Simple render of a touchscreen synth workstation. I added mod and pitchwheel by request; however, I don't want to add dozens of sliders and knobs. The touchscreen is the main interface, other than the keyboard."

  1. so why no performance controllers - wheels, ribbon, etc? pitch bends and mod effects would be a bitch with this design - or nonexistent.

  3. Everyone likes twisting knobs. It's fun! When you're tweaking sounds, I can respect that. But when you use software, and a wide variety of software, hardware interfaces come up short. You're limited to how many knobs and sliders you can fit on a front panel. The touchscreen could potentially alleviate much of that. Instant access to all parameters showing on the GUI. BTW, I added a pitch and modwheel on my next render...

  4. Please no more touch screens !

  5. I'd go for the second one, but less deep and with hardware knobs and sliders.

  6. i'd prefer a high-accuracy multi-touch surface for inputting performance data, it seems like it'd be more flexible than just a knob

  7. Now please add a radius to the edges so the user does not cut themselves. Just kidding, very fine work. MATRIX you need to add a "RENDER" tag. BTW, what software are you rendering from?
