  1. Does anyone know what this is? I googled the name and many variations of the name, but all I could find were various sites referencing this particular unit.

  2. If you click on the SLM label at the bottom of the post you will see some of their other gear. This is the first post on this particular synth. Trips me out when I see a synth I've never seen before.

Customized 1970's Analog String Synthesizer from Italian manufacturer SLM (also known as Welson). This is the only one of these I've ever seen.
Very little info on this company is available online.. It sounds rad and has stereo outputs!
Sounds a lot like the Arp Solina/String Ensemble with much of the same features for a fraction of the price!

It is a Violin and Cello analog string emulator synth.
The two sections each have their own on/off toggle, volume control as well as sustain and release envelope.

Works great, sounds great and looks neat + vintage!

Priced to sell at 450 obo. Might consider trades for other analog synths and electric pianos ( moog arp sequential circuits oberheim korg roland crumar rhodes wurlitzer )
