StepPolyArp - Midi Step Polyphonic Arpeggiator for the iPad

"StepPolyArp is a midi step polyphonic arpeggiator. The arpeggiator does not play any sound itself, it transmits midi notes to a Mac or a PC to be used in combination with any sequencer, virtual instrument (VSTi, Audio Unit) or midi synthesizer.

The arpeggiator can transform chords into sequences of notes played one after the other in several ways. A matrix polyphonic step modulate arpeggiated notes in time and pitch. The main controllers (velocity, modulation, panning, volume, aftertouch, and pitch bend) are also programmable through a step editor. The integrated keyboard automatically adapts to the selected musical scale.

  2. Yes! I bought it, and it is amazing!!! I am gonna record some videos when I find some time. Well worth the money and the best music app for the iPad hands down.

  3. I bought the program as well, but I am having problems with dropped and hung notes. I talked with the developer and it seems to be a problem with the ad-hoc network. I'll try changing channels and see if that helps. On a positive note, the developer said he is planing to add support for midi mobilizer in a future update. I may end up picking one up if that is the case, because this app is wonderful for creating complex harmonic arps.

  5. Gary: Make sure your wifi does not have a password. I think the encryption might actually cause dropped notes.
