PAIA vintage analog Proteus synth

via this auction

"PAIA analog monophonic synthesizer. the model is the Proteus 1. these are very rare!!! only about 90-100 of these were made during the late 1970s. they were kit synths from paia that you would build yourself. it is very similar to a vintage mini moog. even used some of the same chips that moogs used back in the 70s. it has wood sides and all metal chassis. has patch points on the rear of the synth to change the signal flow of the synth. all knobs turn and the keys work."

Note: always read the full description at the auction before you bid. I only copy over specs and interesting bits of history.

I think this one beats the APE.

Get Ready to Freek Out - Snazzy FX's design

http://www.snazzyfx.com/

I love their design. Bright bold colors, sharp edges, and organic curves. Check out their site for more. This post really doesn't do it justice. Love it or hate it, it's about as bold and refreshing as it gets in our world. The gear is pretty cool too. :)

BTW, I met Dan Snazelle at Winter NAMM this year. He's a really cool guy.

Elektron Monomachine SFX-6 Ltd Edition

via this auction

"Wonderful synth, similar to the SFX-60 but with built in keyboard and multi-assignable (2 effects in each direction) joystick for live recording/performance. Check the Elektron website at http://www.elektron.se/products/monomachine for more information on the SFX-60, or http://www.vintagesynth.com/misc/monomachine.php; the SFX-6 was a limited edition version and is no longer in production. Truly a unique instrument."
