Korg Polysix Analog Synthesizer pt.1
YouTube via retrosound72 | August 18, 2010
"vintage synth demo by RetroSound
Korg Polysix Analog Synthesizer from the year 1982
part1: the Polysix Arpeggiator and different VCO, VCF, Envelope and Effect settings (drums: TR-808)
part2: some typical Polysix sounds coming soon in 2-3 weeks
The Korg Polysix is a very nice analog synths with a great sound. The sound is very different to the Juno synths.
The sound-character of the SSM filter, the Effect Sektion with Chorus, Phaser and Ensemble is really fantastic."

If you've been following along, you might notice the site is different than the blog Analogue Realities. On the site:
"This page is the top level to the Steiner Synthasystem I am ressurecting. As this project grows, these pages will have schematics and build notes as well as order forms. I think I am decided that as a module is tested and a final prototype is built, I'll add the page with ordering information."

Some people like fast cars, I like slow delays.

Roland System 100M
via this auction
"vintage Roland System 100M 191-J rack and five 100M modules...
# 1 x 121 Dual VCF
# 1 x 130 Dual VCA
# 1 x 140 Dual Envelope Generator and LFO
# 1 x 150 Ring Mod/Noise/S&H/LFO
# 1 x 172 Audio Delay, Phase Shifter, LFO and Gate Delay
# 1 x 191-J Five-Module Rack (117 Volt AC power)
Four original DIN power cables come with the rack, as does one contemporary replacement. Five original, working Roland patch cables (varying lengths, red and black) are also part of the package.
NOTE: The original DIN power cables were so appealing to a studio cat that he took it upon himself to chew on them. All four included cables work perfectly, but do bear scars from the cat’s teeth. Sadly, the fifth DIN cable did not survive, hence the replacement (not shown in photographs).
ALSO NOTE: There are no Oscillators in this package. This rack can be integrated into another System 100M or function as a great piece of audio processing gear. As is, it is not a standalone, tone-generating synthesizer."

KORG DS-10 PLUS: 'Mysterious Forest' By Anthony Seeha
YouTube via seehanth001 | August 18, 2010
"An original song that I wrote myself.
This song takes advantage of DUAL MODE in Korg DS-10 Plus.
This is the Mysterious Forest... You'll never know what you discover.
The music from Super Monkey Ball 2 had some influence in this song.
I had a really tough time naming this song... Too many different themes popped into my head. xD"
Digital Multi-Effects Unit

"With 15 configurable sound effects and a user-friendly HMI
Published in issue 405, September 2010
Digital Multi-Effects Unit
It’s a simple fact: every recording sounds better with the right sound effects. Here we prove that it’s possible to generate a variety of effects digitally, including hall, chorus and flanger effects, without having to work yourself to the bone with DSP programming. The circuit is built around a highly integrated effects chip and features an intelligent user interface with an LCD. The result is a treat for the eye and the ear.
Features:
- Multi-effect generator with 15 effect algorithms
- Based on the FV-1 effect processor IC
- Frequency response 20 Hz to 15 kHz
- Maximum delay time 700 ms
- 64 memory locations for preset configuration profiles
- Separate user interface
- MIDI In port
- Effect selection and parameter control via MIDI port
- Integrated ramp generator for producing attack/decay effects
- Easy assembly using standard components (except the FV-1 IC)
- Free assembler program for generating user-programmed effect algorithms"

Tech : Repaired Hartmann Neuron Synthesizer
YouTube via adiblasi | August 15, 2010
inside a Hartmann Neuron
"http://www.Alfred.TV READ ME FIRST: In this video, we document the amazing kludge job that was beautifully executed by AdamB to get the Hartmann Neuron Synthesizer in working order due to failed capacitors on the motherboard and power supply.
This synthesizer is a great example of how a PC compliant system was used as an 'embedded system' that was at the hart of this synthesizer. I had given Adam constraints NOT to drill through the metal base of the synth -- which would have facilitated mounting and avoided the glueing of screws, but I didn't want a drill taken to the synth.
Without doubt, this is NOT for the 'faint of heart', and there was quite a bit if guesswork, but in the end, it did work.

I hope this footage helps other Neuron owners!
