Thought it was interesting that the stripes / graphic style of the owner's manual cover is different than the Matrix-12's.

The patcher is a sequencer aimed at controlling synths in a way that gives very subtile control over the notes (pitch, velocity, decay) while leaving space to randomness in the process. In this video I'm controlling a smaller version of the patcher with an akai apc40.
The complete version of the sequencer is intended to have 4 tracks of 1 to 32 steps each, all controlled by an independent (yet sync'd) clock."
After enjoying much ear-candy tonight from an impromptu kitchen table setup, I took these snaps. My original Jomox Sunsyn has a new friend. This was my first synth-GAS attack in quite a while.
I should have taken a photo of the dangerous looking red glow through the back ventilation slots. This synth is a beast from any angle.
I set out to be systematic and organized about noting differences between the two, but I tossed that idea in short order and went nuts playing, layering them (madness!!), and fading between them. Sunsyns in symphony are pretty darned agreeable.
The one I bought in 2006 is going back to Jurgen soon for the OS v2 update, and it's going to get ruthenium knobs too. The new knobs feel great, by the way. It will be good to know that the older synth won't wig out permanently if it gets wrong MIDI messages.
The black and purple Mark II looks better than I expected--the purple accents aren't garish. Some first impressions are: the noise floor is improved as advertised. The fan's quieter. Some of the presets are different, and some with the same name sound like they may have been re-tweaked. The arp speed setting seems to behave differently (but it could have been me). Next order of business will be to connect in multi mode to a sequencer and see how multis work now. Cheers to all!"

The below is in via an anonymous reader. I catch these as well. Be careful. In these listings, there is usually an offer to pick the item for a great BIN outside of eBay by contacting the seller. NEVER go for it. It's usually a scam and it is against eBay policy.
When I see them I filter them out of the eBay links on the right of this site, so use them. Please note it's not possible to catch them all the second they go up, and there are other scams out there, so always be careful. The list is "cleaner" but not perfect. I also filter a few other things to keep the feeds synth only.

The item in question was an Alesis Andromeda. I took a few screen shots and decided to forward you those. Perhaps you can make a post and warn others of the issue.
The A6 on the screen is not the same I was about to be scammed into. But today I've seen many of them come up and go by many different sellers. I believe that the seller accounts got hijacked and they are not even aware of the issue, none the less it will great to warn others of the matter. The worst part is that the scam is for many types of synths, oberheim, arps, jupiters, etc. which really sucks specially during holiday season. "

"In the middle of practicing some ideas in Ableton I kept carving out complicated rhythmic sketches on my http://lividinstruments.com/ OHM64. SO I recorded them via my cellphone and a MicroTrack II. The BPM was about 115, approximately 12 samples were used. All but 2 only 1 measure in length - each one geting crushed. Just having some fun practicing and working out ideas!

Pretty Damn Well!
This is a tutorial/demo on how I pulled this off and everything you need to know! The Moog (notes) are controlled via the MPK25 but the filter and pitch modulation is via the CV inputs.
Yes - Line level (analog) signal has voltage. I learned some of these tricks about a year ago - once thinking CV was far out and not so easy to gain control of - wrong.
The modulation of the SF can be controlled with amazing accuracy and synchronization using an application like Ableton. The possibilities are endless - I am still trying to understand where I would like to go with this idea. For now - you have the basic knowledge - please post back ideas and break throughs! Thx.

"This is real simple, if your audio system can't reproduce low end bass don't bother listening. All synth sounds other than lead coming from the Akai S-3200XL, all sounds in the Akai are actually the DX-100 I had, drums sequencing and everything else the MPC.
And yes I do have a turntable in the bathroom lol"

As you can see and ear, there is stil a few minor bugs. Next step is to resolve this small bugs ( a minor work) and implement further pages to allow sequence of 16, 24 and 32 steps; and a few cosmetics changes (pad color for the exemple).
Suggestions and ideas are welcome on the Usine forum.
The base of this patch is to translate midi to the matrix module in Usine. Finding a light on cpu way to do this, this patch will be followed by others dedicated to the launchpad in Usine...a drum sequencer, an mlr like patch, etc."

"some doodling with stepsequencers build in USINE by Sensomusic. If you are tired of all DAWs looking like excel sheets then you should try this program. It is a modular sequencer ( a bit like Energy XT or Pure Data / MaxMSP ) and has some good options for building interfaces for touchscreen use.
The free version shown here can do a lot, especially when you are using a touchscreen like me here.
