"Trying to use the Metasonix R-54 in the same manner as the D1000, by ringing the resonant filter with short trigger pulses. The only audio path here is the R-54 into the R-51. The rest of the patch sets up a fairly complex network of digital gates and logic, and the Pressure Points monophonically opens the QMMG as a vca which selects 4 different gate sources to be injected into the gate network."

Both machines have similar mods, ie Pitch, Decay, Overdrive, Distortion, Glitch, Oscillators, etc. However mods are implemented differently on each machine, thus both machines have a distinctivly different sound. One machine is geared up to produce synthesizer sounds with loads of modulation between the 4 channels and various filtering and distortion. The other machine functions as a 909 style analog drum synth, with impossibly deep Bass / Kik, touch points for triggering the drum circuits by hand, and seperate outputs for the 4 channels.
MIDI-TRIGGER converter provides 23 x 5 volt Trigger outputs & Accent for driving other machines and DIY creations. Miraculously I managed to fit the entire unit, 24 jack sockets & 29 x Flashing LED lights inside the machine (along with 22 x new knobs, 12 x switches and a shocking amount of cable)...
The Trigger unit works really well, buy one from engineers@work :)"

"Some Circuit Bent gear, triggered with MIDI via my MIDI-TRIGGER converter. Just a quick test, for fun only...
Machines used - A pair 'Beat Sound' Analog Drum Synths, A CASIO SK-5 Sampler, Yamaha DD-6 & Yamaha DD-8. Obviously all machines are heavilly circuit bent, and fitted with trigger inputs.
MIDI-TRIGGER converter is fitted inside one of the 'Beat Sound's' and provides 23 x 5volt trigger outputs and an Accent output." squidfanny on eBay

"A short video showing a Percussa AudioCube controlling 4 synthetic voices in Ableton Live 8 (voice-vocosyn.adg preset). Hand movement around the cube's four sensors determines the final mix of the 4 voice sounds which are placed in a loop at certain pitches. "I have made a few sequencers over the years. But never one that can play two sequences at the same time. This one can! It can play two sequences of eight notes or one sequence of sixteen notes in a loop. To make things a bit simpler I have build the VCOs into the unit instead of using external modules. This limits the waveforms to squarewaves but it is still possible to control external VCAs and VCFs through the gate output.
In the demo, however, I use only the build-in electronics.
The music that comes with this video is something I put together myself. It is played on Yamaha HE-8 and Elka EP-8 organs, Roland CR-68 drum machine, Kawai FS620 keyboard and Roland JX-8P synthesizer."
The tracks from "The passenger" below, feature the "maxikorg, pro 5, pro 1, ms20, matrix 6, mono/poly, tr606, xoxbox, Jupiter 4, sh101, cat srm, micromoog, möbius sequencer, eurorack modular, cs30..."

"BitDisco is a playful music app for the iPad. It's specially designed so that anyone can easily play great-sounding tunes, whether you're the least musical person, or a seasoned professional.
We’ve achieved this simplicity by creating a grid-like interface. Simply tap or trace your finger over the iPad's screen to create stunning sounds. There's no need to memorise complex scales as some of the lesser used notes have been removed to make playing easier. You can even select from a range of sounds, tones and backing beats to start a disco in your bedroom!"

"Home built monosynth - digital oscillators based on pic and dspic microcontrollers, and analog filters using ssm2044 and switched capacitor mf10. All sounds played manaully or using the built in sequencer. Shots of the front panel got boring so I mixed in some holiday snaps."

"More sounds. 2 digital oscillators with FM, phase distortion and pitch doubling. 2 analogue filters - the warm SSM2044 and the gritty MF10 switched capacitor filter."

"Release date: Europe+Australia December 24th, USA 7th January. 500 Nintendo DSi Points.
The definitive beatbox for creating songs and rhythms!
With a library of 160 sounds, use your creative skills to assign them to each of the 8 tracks available per pattern, activate or deactivate each of the 16 steps that make up a track using the buttons or the stylus, and combine the 8 patterns to compose up to 64 songs. If you want to produce a more complex tune, you can customize each step and set the volume, change the frequency and assign a panning.
Like a professional DJ, create and play in real time!
Once you have laid down your patterns, you can use them to create much more complicated rhythms in the Song mode, where you can add them to a sequence of up to 32 parts and change their length, activate/deactivate tracks, add repeats, etc.
"The year, 1971, 16 years old from Japan, on a trip to NYC.Walk into Manny's Music in Manhattan. Excited that I'm getting my first "real" guitar, a new Gibson Les Paul Deluxe ( still have it!! finish is cracking nicely!!). Strange keyboard with a ton of switches catches my eye. Way cooler than the Mini-Moog I had seen before. My Dad, being cool that he is, urges me to check it out. Makes all kinds of weird noises. Gotta have it!!! Wow everybody back home, groove to Walter Carlos, pre Wendy, Morton Subotnick, etc. Awesome tones and crashes when I intertwine the oscillators, envelope generators, VC filters. Many a stoned headphone journeys taken. 2010, Synth hasn't seen the light of day in 30 years, packed away the whole time. Plug it in, move around the oscillators, and BAM, wacka-wacka memories!!!!!! I have no use for it now.But I know that it'll make someone's fantasy come true!!! The workout.... Every switch works, every knob works, every key works in tune ( all keys are uniformly stiff. they will need to be re-conditioned.. felt?) As you can see, no dings, a little dusty. This machine has never been played outside. Never been onstage like my Paul. Just in great condition for its age. Let me know how you would like it wrapped for shipment. Merry Christmas!!!!"
Update via Micke in the comments: "The Synthacon first appeared in 1975 so there's no way the seller could've bought it back in 1971. It's obviosly a typo.
Much more interesting than DM's use of this synthesizer is, in my opinion, its use on the Apocalypse Now soundtrack (1979). The Steiner EVI, synthasystem modular and double-synthacon are all over the score."

"running version 2.3 firmware. It comes complete with fully expanded internal 4 filter switching. It comes with Moog, Arp, SEM, and 303 filters and switchable option for low pass or bandpass on the SEM (switch just next to Filter label and front panel). It also has the option for a fully discrete Moog VCA (switch next to Envelopes label on front panel). It also has factory added control voltage inputs for Filter Frequency, Filter Resonance, and VCA level. The VCA input is on a switched jack that bypasses the VCA envelope when you plug into it. These are in addition to the standard CV and Gate inputs and outputs and full Midi implementation."
