Die Mitglieder des DigiEnsemble Berlin sind professionelle Musikerinnen und Musiker, die mit iPhone, iPod-Touch und iPad an der Universität der Künste Berlin gemeinsam Musik machen. Ziel ist es im gemeinsamen Musizieren auszuprobieren, ob und wie mit den kleinen Geräten musiziert werden kann.
Dabei entstehen Musikstücke aus den unterschiedlichsten Stilrichtungen zwischen „klassischem" Streichorchester bis hin zum tanzbaren R'n'B-Act. Wir fanden, dass Begriffe wie Orchester oder Band für diese musikalische Bandbreite nicht passen und bezeichnen unsere Formation daher als Ensemble. Am wichtigsten ist uns, dass die Musik auf den Hosentaschen-Instrumenten interessant klingt und musikalisch ist."

The members of the Berlin DigiEnsemble are professional musicians, with iPhone, iPod Touch and make iPad at the University of the Arts music together. Goal is to test it in the music together, whether and how making music can be with the small devices.
This music created from a variety of styles between "classic" string orchestra up to the danceable R & B Act. We found that do not fit terms such as orchestra or band for the musical spectrum and describe our formation, therefore, as an ensemble.
