MATRIXSYNTH: MATRIXSYNTH Post Guidelines and Site Tips

MATRIXSYNTH Post Guidelines and Site Tips

MATRIXSYNTH is about synth spotting
MATRIXSYNTH-B is about the auctions.
MATRIXSYNTH-C is about music without synth spotting.

If I post for you, a link back to MATRIXSYNTH is appreciated.

There is overlap between the sites, but the core reason for each post holds true.  If you send something in, be aware of the rules.  Readers have to be able to clearly differentiate between the synths for it to go up on M. Posts on M are meant to showcase specific gear. The obvious way to get around this is to send in gear pics with your music featuring that gear. Posts will go up only once. All eBay auctions are welcome, so feel free to send them in.  They will go up on either MATRIXSYNTH or MATRIXSYNTH-B depending on the rarity of the item, the quality of the pics and any interesting history.  Contact info is on the bottom right of the site.

Tips:

TWITTER and FACEBOOK: Follow icons are on the top right.  Featured posts, first Updates to posts, and MATRIXSYNTH-C posts go up along with retweets, replies and the occasional non-synth tweet.  Note there are two Twitter accounts and one Facebook account.  The second Twitter account is MATRIXSYNTHB.  You can follow by clicking on the Twitter icon on MATRIXSYNTH-B or click here.  All auction posts go up on that account.

SEARCH: Use Blogger search on the top left to bring up general results as posts.   Note Blogger search is broken and will not bring up all posts, so use Google site search on the right to drill down.  Google site search is faster but you have to click on results to see posts.

UPDATES: Updates in posts are preceded with a red Update: and get the Updates label.  See the Updates label in the top site menu at least once a day.  Blogger does not sort posts by the time updates occurred so be sure to scroll.  The first update in a post automatically goes up on Twitter and Facebook.  Updates that occur 24 hours after the original post will get a new post.

FEATURED POSTS: Check the FEATURED label for the top posts of the day, typically news items, rare synths, and other must see posts.  Note this is obviously subjective, so don't miss out on posts without the label.  This is just a quick review label for the day.  Think of the site as a conveyor belt sushi site.  Consume what you what.  It's all free, but if it weren't, Featured posts would be the $3 items.

COMMENTS: Check the COMMENTS label once a day to see post comments.  So many posts go up now, it's easy to lose track of conversations happening.  Remember you can bookmark posts with comments to check back later as well.  If you leave a comment, especially if you are asking a question, be sure to "subscribe by email" so you get notified if someone replies months from now.  A note on comments: no hate, sexism, racism, or the like.  Offensive or even semi-offensive comments will be removed if asked, and I can ask myself.

The best way to submit something is to send an email via the contact info on the bottom right of the site.  Due to volume, not everything will go up and not everything will get a reply.  Synths only.

If you ever need a synth tech, check out the Synth Techs label.

And that's it for now...
