SevenUpLive 2.0 Preview

SevenUpLive 2.0 Preview from bar|none on Vimeo.

"The new SevenUpLive 2.0 is a complete port of SevenUpLive to MAX For Live.

We are extremely excited about this new version since it allows for an almost zero initial configuration and rapid building of SevenUpLive-based sets. Allows for reuse of racks and tracks and a fully componentized model for drag and dropping SevenUpLive components as needed into a set. Save the state of all components with your set and save presets for components for reuse in other sets.

It also allows for MAX For Live developers to develop their own flavors of components for interacting with SevenUpLive."

Bliss - SevenUpLive 1.4 Preview from bar|none on Vimeo.

"Since it's monomeet 2009 today, woke up and did a track in honor of not being able to make it this year. I also wanted to demo the live transposition features in SevenUpLive 1.4 Beta. Two patterns on the melodizer being transposed live, moving through different scale modes."

SevenUpLive Chaos Set

SevenUpLive Chaos Set from barnone on Vimeo.
"First video using SevenUpLive and my newly built 40h to perform a set based on a few of the SevenUp template samples, plus some midi controlled original synth parts on the Spectralis. SevenUpLive is controlling everything. Drum patterns and Synth Melodies were also created in SevenUpLive. Masterizer is used extensively to control the set. I'm still all thumbs in the transitions, but it's a start.

Kudus to "makingthenoise" for creating this amazing app. You can get a sense for how musical and arythmic it can be."

New! SevenUpLive 2.0 Component - Mind Shuffler

New! SevenUpLive 2.0 Component - Mind Shuffler from bar|none on Vimeo.
"This not a performance but is a quick and dirty demonstration of MindShuffler which allows you to slice live audio streams. These could be truly live or they could a looping clip or drum machine. Because of these characteristics, we are able to change tempo on the fly while slicing and use Live's warp engine to maintain pitch on the loop.

Audio starts at 0.39

If this is too techy for you. Here's a real track made with SevenUpLive 2.0."

First track written on 7upLive 2.0 with fully integrated Max for Live. Sickness.

Visuals in Jitter using modded Rut-Etra Synth.

Thanks for looking."

Kedaar w/ Monome - Oxytocin @ "Middlesex Lounge, Cambridge, MA - 6/8/09 from Kedaar Kumar on Vimeo.
This is my track off of the Oxytocin compilation released by us at Harmonix in Cambridge, MA. We had a CD release party/show at Middlesex Lounge in Cambridge, MA on Monday, 06/08/09, and it was a huge success. I performed using Live 8 with a Novation Remote 25 MIDI controller and a Monome 64. I also provided visuals for the whole show using Andrew Benson's video processing patch, which I modded and added MIDI functionality to. Great success!"

Seven Mantas

Seven Mantas from bar|none on Vimeo.

"Added Snyderphonics Manta support to SevenUpLive 2.0.x beta this weekend. The beauty here is that you get velocity sensitivity on the plates and SevenUp can use that in its pattern recorders. The Manta supports polyphonic-aftertouch as well which I plan to add to SevenUp later.

This jam was just a fast improv to show off. Everything in the track was sequenced and performed live with the Manta and SevenUpLive. Tracked to 2-track, no edits besides start and end fades."

Interference

Interference from barnone on Vimeo.
audio does comes in around :16
"SNEAK preview of the new SevenUpLive on the 128 in vertical orientation, although you can choose any orientation and combination of multiple monomes you like playing the same Live set together!.

Notice how I setup a 16 step drum pattern across the 128 at the beginning. You can now have up to 64 steps on one logical screen if you have the uber monome to do it on.

Spectralis is providing ALL sounds (live MIDI and pre-sampled) except for 1 guitar sample I recorded on my THD BiValve tube amp close mic'd and the drums.

Interference is what happens on the monophonic Analog Synth part when I have SevenUpLive playing a part (melodizer pattern) on a monophonic line and I then interfere with that line during live performance."

Slicing René

Slicing René from bar|none on Vimeo.

"Experimental noodling with the Monome controlling a Make Noise René sequencer via cv. Pads on the monome are influencing the movement of René in both the x and y positions as well as affecting the clock timing and envelopes. The effect feels similar to slicing loops but we are "slicing" an analog sequencer.

Watch the grid of lighted knobs in the lower right corner of the modular which is René.

SevenUpLive on the monome is controlling 8 faders that are sending OSC messages to an ADDAC Brain that is in my rack over ethernet.

andregoncalves.info/addac/

This addac brain is an excellent way to control multiple channels of cv over OSC without the need to setup a complex arrangement via your DAW and an audio interface. The fact that the addac brain is connected over ethernet means that it is a connected device on your network and can be accessed by OSC capable devices, even WITHOUT using a computer at all."

A Dream of Iceland

A Dream of Iceland from bar|none on Vimeo.

"First play on the Eigenharp Alpha + SevenUpLive 2.0 on the bleepnome and monome 128 controlling the Live set. It's only been a little while with the Alpha so still learning to play it. It is amazing though, brimming with potential.

Icestorm outside today. So perfect time to get this done."
