New Slim Phatty Pics and Specs

"Moog Music officially announced yesterday that as we advanced, the new Slim Phatty, "the more portable analog synthesizer Moog and affordable throughout its history."

Phatty Slim (slim chubby ") is based on the architecture of the Little Phatty (two oscillators, filters, LFO / envelope / arpeggiator). Module can be used as desktop or rack mounted (you can buy optional rack ears or wood side panels).

Phatty Slim is 17 "wide (43.18 cm) and weighs only 2.6 kg, according to Moog Music," is the smallest and lightest tool we make. It is designed for the traveling musician, and fits easily in your luggage or backpack. "Rack mounted occupies 3 spaces.

You can play from the front panel with any MIDI controller, or can be used as an expander with a Little Phatty, Minimoog Voyager or any other synth.

  2. love it, this is exactly what Moog needed to compete in the low-mid price range, and they did a bang up job on it. Naysayers move on, this is a gem of a synth that just got small enough to stick in a backpack. F*ck yeah!
