- the filters are serial connected as BPF or BEF (Notch)
- On the Backside is a switch for going into Action-Filter mk1 mode
- Major knobs are 2x cutoff and resonance
- there's also an trigger button in function with bypass
- the connectors behind are RCA (Chinch) I/O + also Phono with ground, in stereo

Yamaha V2 - The DX11 from Japan

YouTube via DrSqu | Mar 2, 2011 |

"This is a lazy song with 11 tracks of Yamaha V2 pure.
Pure means: No external help like Fx, Eq etc.. All sounds comes directly from V2 into the soundcard without any plugins.

Yamaha V2 brings an 4OP FM-Synthesis without samples. You listen only FM. No layers. The panning is realized by the internal panner. Filterölike sounds are simply by FM ... theres no filter inside. I recorded every sound as a stereo file.

Here in Europe is the V2 a rarity from Japan, we only know the DX11 - the same synthesizer just with another naming."

Yamaha AN1x pure - Demo 1

YouTube via DrSqu

"This demo i made with audiotracks in Logic sequencer. Every sound is a audiotrack. All sounds drums fx etc. are pure from Yamaha AN1x. No add of external FX, or dynamic FX, used internal DSP.

Yamaha AN1x is often underrated because it seems behind the poor plastic cover being nothing. Of corse, in basic it's never so powerfully like a real old analog synthesizer. But with some tricky rules you can create fat sounds. It's also not another virtual analog synthesizer, it make some other strange, funny and mindblasting sounds ... and noises :)

See and listen more at http://www.deepsonic.ch"

Roland V-Synth XT - Working with a Touchscreen

YouTube via DrSqu | August 06, 2010

"For some days i've got a Roland V-Synth XT V2 in deepsonic. It's really a big synthesizer with a good sound. A lot of parameters for any kind of sounds. But in this demo i more like to show the good user interface: The touchscreen of the synthesizer. First time i want to say that you don't need a external editor for editing the sounds. Good machine with a easy interface. ... i'm sorry for my poor english knowledge ;-)"

Ensoniq Fizmo - 1 Sound

YouTube via DrSqu | December 30, 2010 |

"For some days I've got a Ensoniq Fizmo in my studio. From scratch i created a new sound with help of Sounddiver. In this demo you listen live played Fizmo pure .. it means without any external help only this sound.
The Pad includes 3 Transwave OSC and a simple Sinus OSC. From internal FX comes delays and eq.

Transwave also you can description as Wavetable like in the Waldorf Microwave. Waldorf brings more parameters for the waves, but definitely sounds another. Fizmo can sounding fantastic ... of course not only in living pads.

More infos at www.deepsonic.ch in hardware section."

Casio VL-1 VL-Tone

YouTube via DrSqu

"Casio VL-1 is a cult of the mini synthesizers. Monophon, build between 1981 and 1984. It inclouds a synthesizer, sequencer and a calculator. In this demo is show some funny things about it. Do you remember the song "Da da da" by "Trio" in 1982? Here, 25 years after, you'll see how to play it right. And with yout hands you also have a wah-wah ;) Interessting is the synthesis with some waveforms, ADSSR and 2 LFOs."

Yamaha PSR-36 Pure (16 Tracks)

YouTube Uploaded by DrSqu on Mar 16, 2011

Also see Yamaha DSR-2000 pure (24 Tracks)

"This demo i made with Yamaha PSR-36 Keyboard. Build +/- 1988.
It brings 4-OP FM synthesis with 5 parameters for editing the synthesizer engine. And there are also 25 drum samples in poor and shortened quality. There are no filters, no unisono and no effects, but the stereo synthesizer make it little bit width. PSR-36 includes a simply chord- and custom drummer-sequencer and a usually drum computer for entertainer with a lot of variations.

In first step you listen a simply demo in usually quality. Later follows a demo with 16 instruments made in PSR-36. I only recording this sounds pure out of the keyboard and arranged in Logic to a demosong. No help with external Eqs, Filters, or any other Fx. ... this mean pure.

There is more possible than this little beating demo i made. Enjoy :)
On www.deepsonic.ch you find more infos and demos."

Yamaha DSR-2000 pure (24 Tracks)

YouTube Uploaded by DrSqu on Mar 15, 2011

"This demo i made with Yamaha DSR-2000 Synthesizer. Build +/- 1987.
It brings 4-OP FM synthesis with 15 parameters for editing the synthesizer engine. And there are also 22 drum samples in poor and shortened quality. There are no filters, no unisono and no effects, only a chorus in the sound engine and portamento. DSR-2000 includes a simply sequencer and a usually drum computer for entertainer.

In first step you listen a simply demo in usually quality. Later follows a demo with 24 instruments made in DSR-2000. I only recording this sounds pure out of the keyboard and arranged in Logic to a demosong. No help with external Eqs, Filters, or any other Fx. But some delays i realized with Midi ... this mean pure.

There is more possible than this little 80's demo i made. Enjoy :)

Roland JP-8000 Demo

YouTube via DrSqu | July 08, 2010

"Again for some days i've got a synthesizer from a friend in my studio. This time it's Roland JP-8000. I made today a little demo with pure JP-8000 some sounds i programmed. My option is that JP-8000 is nice for softer warm sound, somewhere near to SH-201.

More you found at http://www.deepsonic.ch"

Yamaha TX7 FM MIDI Sound Module with Back-Lit LCD and ROM Upgrade SN 15383

Yamaha TX7 pure

YouTube via DrSqu

"This demo i made in 2004 with audiotracks in Logic sequencer. Every sound is a audiotrack. All sounds drums fx etc. are pure from Yamaha TX7. No add of external FX, or dynamic FX. Delays i realized with midi, also pannings. Reverb with helb from right envelope programming. There are no layers in this track. Yamaha TX7 is the module of the legendary Yamaha DX7. 6OP FM synthesizer, no filter, no FX, no samples. This demo show only a little bit of 6OP-FM. If you take time for programming TX7 ... or an SY77 ... than you will listen much more interessting sounds. In this demo i not programmet the typically FM-Piano and this all 80s stuff. Listen more at http://www.deepsonic.ch" Update via fanwander in the comments: "The sound of the video is not made by the seller, but by Mischa Blättler from www.deepsonic.ch (See http://www.deepsonic.ch/deep/htm/synth_pure.php) Btw: does anyone know more about the Features of Version 1.4 versus Version 1.2?"

via this auction

"The LCD is back-lit, unlike all the other ones you'll see today and most other days on eBay. It's also version 1.4 firmware. Not 1.2 and not the buggy 1.3 that replaced 1.2."

Note the TX7 is only editable via MIDI. More info on the display here.
