"This is a special auction, this one will not come around again! This is your chance to get both a great keyboard/keytar and a piece of pop history!

This is a customized Roland SH-01 GAIA synthesizer. It was won in a contest directly from Roland. This synth was used by Lady Gaga keyboard Kern Brantley. It has the following mods: 1. Black paint (looks awesome!) 2. Straplocks 3. A flange was mounted to allow a handle to be screwed onto the flange, transforming this homebody synth into a live keytar monster!

For more information, simply Google "roland gaia contest kern", and you can get the details! I cannot be for sure on this one, but if you read the webpage, I believe this customized GAIA has custom patches used by Kern Brantley himself on one of Lady Gaga's past tours.

In excellent physical and operating condition. It sounds awesome, I spent about 1 or 2 hours trying out the presets in a non-smoking home, and it's been sitting in my carpeted guitar closet ever since. The synth was professionally painted black over the original silver. There are several tiny areas around the keyboard where the black has slightly worn off so you see the original silver color.

Comes with Roland strap with straplocks and a pouch that can be used for a wireless transmitter (wireless transmitter not included).

There are no cases or power supplies included, you can either use batteries (as probably intended for live use) or purchase an approved power supply..."

I though about how to make the video to this organ version of the well known Lady Gaga hit. But I didn't really think that miss Gaga's original idea of emerging from a pool in a black catsuit was my style.
Instead I chose to show the analogue drum machine I used for my version from the outside as well as from the inside. You could call it an undressed drum machine...

The rest of the arrangement is played on Technics SX-C600 organ and Roland SH-2000 synthesizer."

"Long before Daft Punk's motor cycle helmets with LED messages scrolling by or Lady GaGa's video display glasses we were apart of a generation limited to displaying text on calculators with small indistinguishable red coloured displays......Oh Joy..... I remember as a kid running around the house showing my family how to spell words like "bOObS", "hEllO" and "ShEll". This was accomplished by entering in certian numbers then holding the calculator upside down.....Ah memories. It appears that 8 bit music is being intergrated into popular music each day i.e. "The Time (dirty bit) by The Black Eye Peas". So why not build your own pair of archaic antiquated 10 digit 7 segmented display glasses. Just image you will be able to star in your own music videos or just stand out in the crowd in the middle of the dance floor. Should any drinks be dropped in your lap or thrown in your face have no fear of electrocution because these glasses can easily operate on battery power. Should you decide to be a Super Uber Geek and build your own glasses utilizing Nixie tubes than I am not resposible for your hair catching on fire or tempoary blindness caused by the 170+ volts coarsing through your temples. Last month, she released her debut solo EP on respected techno label Stroboscopic Artefacts. Spanning four tracks of relentless 4/4, it got us eager to see what kind of music the producer could make with just 10 minutes in the studio and her formidable collection of gear."

The SUPERBOOTH BERLIN is excited to finally announce its performance and work- shop programming for this year’s SUPERBOOTH24.

After the record-breaking SUPERBOOTH23, the latest edition of the world’s largest trade fair and festival for electronic musical instruments is happening from the 16th to the 18th of May 2024 at FEZ-Berlin.

As a “trade fair with the spirit of a festival”, the Superbooth presents the latest products and technical developments in the realm of synthesizers and studio technology with over 250 exhibitors from all over the world, while also offering a comprehensive cultural program that celebrates the culture and joy of electronic music-making.

Over 30 international artists will be performing on three outdoor stages (including the new “Strandbar” stage) as well as two indoor stages for presen- tations and lectures. On the lineup for SUPERBOOTH24 are artists as varied as the Oscar award winning Hildur Guðnadóttir, the popular club performer Stimming, the Live-Techno artist and Lady Gaga collaborator Lady Starlight and the modular expert TamiX hailing from China.

Aside from these musical performances, there will also be workshops offe- ring an introduction to the world of modular synthesizers (including one specifically for women and nonbinary people), DIY Workshops, and numerous lecture concerts in which popular brands like Bitwig, UDO Audio und Korg Berlin will be personally demonstrating their latest products.

The SUPERBOOTH is always trying to create an open and welcoming space in which everyone that is interested can learn and experience. Part of that is the MINIBOOTH for children and teenagers, which offers adolescents a playful look into the world of electronic music-making and was already a fully sold-success last year. The MINIBOOTH will be happening as its own event on the weekend be- fore Superbooth, from the 9th to the 12th of May.

Those looking for a refreshment between this dense schedule will also be happy with the Superbooth’s comprehensive catering offering. New this year is a rooftop area located on the top of the FEZ-building with a bar, allowing visitors to end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere with a great view. And as always, there is also the idyllic „Bungalowdorf” located in the forest surrounding the FEZ.

As a mix between a trade fair, international scene meeting, conference and festival, the Superbooth is a forward-looking event that combines different aspects to create a unique space for musical encounters and experiences.

Minimoog Voyager Select Series to be Phased Out with Price Drop

"Moog has announced its plans to discontinue production of the Minimoog Voyager Select Series, the top selling backlit analog synthesizer of all time.
Over the last 6 years the Select Series has been used in studios and on stages around the globe. Whether it’s Madonna, Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, CeeLo Green, Lady Gaga or Sugarland, the custom combinations of color and finish reflects the unique aesthetic and personality of its owner. Moog will continue building the Select Series through the end of the year, with the final Select Series leaving the factory on Jan 1, 2013.

This is the last chance ever for prospective buyers to purchase a Select Series Voyager, but it will also be their best chance. During the remaining months of production, Moog has reduced the selling price on all Select Series Voyagers from $3,659 to $2,999.

Moog Music hits SXSW at Elysium on Saturday, March 15th at 7pm for an official showcase co-presented with Switched On, the Austin-based synth dream store and artist destination spot. Electronic and industrial music pioneer Gary Numan has been recognized as a brilliant musical innovator by a diverse array of the world's greatest artists - from Prince to Lady Gaga, The Foo Fighters and Nine Inch Nails.
