Mattson Mini Modular VC-LFO with SKEW synthesizer FRAC
"MrRitchieDrums — May 28, 2010 — Mattson Mini Modular. Two independent LFOs in one module with seperate CV controls.
Each LFO contains two simultaneously available square and triangle waveform outputs. Each output can be skewed to waveform extremes. i.e. square can be skewed from narrow-positive pulse widths through square to narrow-negative pulse widths. This is a short demo to show the SKEW......"

WHO's BABA 5u Mattson EG Module DEMO
YouTube via MrRitchieDrums — May 09, 2010 — "Gearge Mattson makes a Mini Modular Synthesizer system & also offers boards to build your own Modules. He built this EG in a basic panel to show how his designs can be used in the 5u format. Some of the sounds it produces remind me of The Who song "BABA O'RILEY"(also known as TEENAGE WASTELAND). Not trying to reproduce that sequence here, just experimenting with a similar 4 note pattern on the Q119 analog sequencer. This Envelope creates rhythm patterns that wouldn't normally occur using delays. Also simulates distortion effects when the repeat rate is MAX!!"
Mattson Modular EG with Synthesizers.com DEMO
"MrRitchieDrums — May 09, 2010 — George Mattson makes a mini modular system and also offers boards to make your own modules. He built this one using a simple 5u panel. It is running off my Synthesizers.com power supply. It will also work with MOTM power. This is a simple patch using 1-VCO, 1-VCF, 1-VCA & the MMM EG. The Q119 sequencer is producing a 12 note pattern"

Synthesizers.com SSL digital delay module
YouTube via MrRitchieDrums | September 20, 2010
"This latest addition to my modular is a Very Cool Delay!! More info at www.steamsynth.com. There are 3 parts to this video:
1) Basic bass line MIDI sequence via MOTM-650 (DOTcom VCO, filter, envelope & VCA + Mattson LFO & Envelope)
It starts dry. When the digital delay first comes in it almost has more of a a reverb vibe, not harsh. Then adding the LFO to the CV input takes us to a whole other Planet!!
2) This is a counter-line to go with the bassline. (Same modules are used, but now with the HP out of the filter)
3) This is a drum part recorded on 4 tracks (KICK=DOTcom VCO, Filter, Env+VCA - SNR= DOTcom VCO, ENV, Noise, VCA+MOTM-1485 GX-1 Diode Filter(the TOM is the same patch, but with the MOTM ladder VCF instead....CYM= MATTSON VCF)....The Kick & TOM were recorded to seperate tracks & the delay module was used as reverb. The SNR & CYM were recorded to one track & the CV-Delay is applied only to that track.......
I really like the character this module adds to these analog drums!!"

Modular Synthesizer OSC HRM Attack 2011
YouTube Uploaded by MrRitchieDrums on Apr 23, 2011
"Bass line produced by the Catgirl sequencer to (2) Q106 VCOs then a synthacon filter. A Hordijk HRM OSC is being triggered by the MFOS Rotary Seq & a MATTSON Envelope is altering inputs along with LFOs and it is going through a Q107 Filter(w LFO panned R). MFOS is also going to the MOTM 1485 GX-1 Diode Filter(1v input) through a Metasonix R52(also LFO panned L).TipTop Z8000 is sending 2 pitches to 2 Blue Lantern Black Jack VCOs (4 steps) through the Mattson filter. Also sending 4 steps to a Q106 through the STG Mankato filter. Finally 16 steps from the Z8000 are going to a Malekko Anti-Osc being altered by a Noisering!!"

Synare Sensor Finger Drum Synthesizer
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"Up for bid here is a Synare Sensor drum trigger/synthesizer made in 1979 or thereabouts by the late, great Star Instruments Co. out of Stafford Springs, CT. It's a smaller version of the legendary Synare drum synthesizers that was designed to be screwed down onto the rim of a drum. Now it's more often used as a finger-controlled portable analog synthesizer. This thing has a ton of sonic possibilities in a very few ounces of box. And this particular box is in impeccable, sparkly, like-new condition, looks and plays great!
Physically, the front has knob controls for Tune, LFO Frequency, LFO Modulation, Decay, Oscillator Sweep, and Volume. There's also an internal trim pot you can turn to adjust the sensitivity of the unit, accessible either by opening up the case or by inserting a thin non-conductive screwdriver in the little hole between the MOD. and SWEEP knobs. On the back is a 1/4" output jack, a 1/4" footswitch in for silencing the output, and a 1/4" footswitch out for chaining the footswitch to multiple pedals. There's an easily-removable bracket on the bottom for screwing the Sensor down on the rim of your drum. Dimensions are 3" by 4" by 6.25", including the knobs and the attachment bracket, weighs about 11 ounces with the battery installed. Speaking of which, the unit runs on one 9-volt battery, included in this auction.
Sonically, I'll let a couple YouTube videos tell the story. The first one here is a fellow who's attached his Sensor to his drum rim, as Star Instruments originally intended, then run it through a looping pedal as Star Instruments originally never could have imagined:"
YouTube Uploaded by MrRitchieDrums on Jan 14, 2011
"Next one's a guy working it out on his Sensor with just his fingers for a full six minutes. (I think I even hear a bit of the Star Spangled Banner in there in the middle.) (And keep in mind he's just playing it through a simple tube amp. Imagine this going through a nice chain of effects pedals!)"
