Custom White Roland JX-3P / JX-3PG

via this auction

This one was spotted and sent in via gridsleep. Not sure if this is the same one, but you can find a video of one posted here, and a few pics of the first one in previous posts here. That one was owned by Dave, creator of The Packrat. It was featured in this comic.

"Housed inside an incredibly chunky wooden cabinet with inch-thick end caps, the perfectly-dubbed JX-3PG brings together a hard-to-find PG-200 controller and a standard JX-3P body. It's a perfect alternative to using two separate units connected with a cable.

Built in 2007 by Jeff Toman of Customsynth.co.uk.

Jeff has been designing & redesigning synths of incredible fashion for years. If you’re a fan of Jeff’s work you will recognize this synth immediately as it’s one of his most popular creations.

This synth also is equipped with a MIDI upgrade.

There is one note that is not making sound and I haven’t ever bothered to open it up and see what the issue is. I have a feeling it’s a very simple fix. Perhaps maybe even just a cleaning. But other than that this synth is 100% fully functional and sounds AMAZING."

White Roland JX-3PG

Remember the white Roland JX-3P with built in PG-200 posted here? That was for the conversion of your own JX-3P plus PG-200. Well, it looks like the full blown synth is now up for auction here. Shots saved in the prior post for when the auction goes down. You can of course check out CustomSynth directly for more.

Foreplay by Boston - Roland JX-3PG by Customsynth

YouTube via hamsterdunce

"A cross between a Roland JX-3P and PG-200, done up in white! Just messing around with this old Boston tune. Also using its sister synth, the Juno-106, for backing strings. Off camera is a Korg 01/W for my typical old school arranging for backing tracks."

Some custom gear: Pro-One is what I'm guessing is a Synthwood case. Custom white JX-3P and JD-800 which I'm guessing are Dave's of umop.com, done by customsynth.co.uk. Note the yellow EMS SYNTHI-E. Red MacBeth M5N.

Hexagon - original synth keyboard solo brain explosion

YouTube via hamsterdunce

"Visit umop.com for 8 million more notes.

Here's a dandy song that I wrote a while back when I was unemployed & living with my parents. Look how far I've come! Boy oh boy, those pants made my legs sweat. Try walking around in those things for a while. They will turn your thighs into a couple of overcooked pot stickers. Did you know that they are a size too small for me also? So is the Microkorg. I like potatoes."

Note the white Roland JD-800 and JX-3P from CustomSynth. David C. Lovelace aka hamsterdance also does the graphics for Metasonix.

Umlaut by Parallax - a pants-packing powerhouse of keyboard synthy plop plop!

YouTube Uploaded by hamsterdunce on Sep 1, 2011

CustomSynth white Roland JX-3P, JD-800 and more synth spotting. That is the man behind The Packrat and more.
"Buy the album on umop.com/parallax.htm

I'll bet you were wondering why I haven't made any synth videos in a while! I was just wondering the same thing myself! My checkered wristband is currently missing (don't worry, I'll find it... or just tattoo the freaking thing on my wrist once and for all), so I found a delightful mask instead. It makes me release my inner wharrgarbl. So there you have it... UMLAUT from my CD "Visit the Entropics" which is available on an old-fashioned CD & also on iTunes. Please support my music and I'll try to make more insipid videos for your drooling, gibbering pleasure."

A joygasmically ballztastic synthy blues shred jam on nine keyboards!

Published on Jun 4, 2013

"More music on umop.com/parallax.htm

The blues was not meant to evolve into this. It was not meant for a scrawny, ashen man-child idiotically kanoodling in his air-conditioned man-cave filled with rare, blinkety-blinking Japanese noiseboxes. But it's 2013 and this is just what it's come to!

Sorry I haven't uploaded any movies in a while. Or maybe I should say YOU'RE WELCOME if it's going to be this kind of thing, eh? I really would like a vacation from this person that I've become. Sometimes I wish I was more like a cool bass-player type dude with big arms & knows how to work on cars. Or maybe not even a musician at all... maybe just a ranch hand from Wyoming who knows fourteen different types of hay. And can bale the shit out of any of them.

Why am I still typing"
