"Ableton Live as master DAW running Sync-Gen II software which in turn is driving the new Sync-Gen IILS modular synchronisation interface. Quarter Note trigger pulses from the Sync-Gen IILS are connected to a Cwejman CTG-VC which in turn is firing a TipTop Z-2040 Low pass Filter with high resonance and fast attack to create the Kick sound. The sixteenth interval trigger pulses are simultaneously driving an Analogic-ACS TM-116 sequencer playing a simple melody line."

Sync-Shift MKIII with DSI Tempest & AkaiMPC3K

Sync-Shift MKIII Tempest MPC3K.mp4

YouTube Published on May 4, 2012 by innerclock2004

"Quick Vid/No Voiceover - MPC3K Master/DSI tempest Slave. Tempest Audio Hard Left. MPC3K Audio Hard Right. If you are listening through a mixer try setting pans to centre to hear the Flam/Phase. First play Sync-Shift MKIII is in bypass so it is like direct Midi Clock connection. Sounds respectable but the 8ms start lag is messing with the bass frequencies to my ears and the groove is a little rough. Second play - Sync-Shift MKIII set to 1 Bar Delay and then fine tune offset with the Rotary. Third Play - Change offset for slave syncopation. Fourth Play - different syncopation again. Regards - David"

Sync-Lock Roland Jupiter 8 Live Jam.mp4

YouTube via innerclock2004
"In this video, same basic groove as before - Two Audio Loops playing in Live, Sync-Gen Plug-In driving the Sync-Lock from a pair of FA-101 Soundcard Outputs. The Sync-Lock still driving the Elektron Machine Drum via Midi Clock but also a Roland Jupiter 8 via the Trigger Output to the ARP Clock Input. Played notes initially and then [Hold] is pressed while changing parameters in real time."

Sync-Gen II Machine Drum Demo B.wmv

YouTube via innerclock2004 | February 08, 2011 | 0 likes, 0 dislikes

"This demo: G5 running Live 8 and Sync-Gen II. Two Audio Loops in Live. Sync-Gen II is set to drive external hardware at 48 PPQ (Double Time). Machine Drum SPS-1UW MKII has a pattern programmed at 125 BPM but running double time would mean this pattern would play at 250 BPM. By setting Live to play the project at 70 BPM - the Machine Drum pattern sounds right and the Live Audio loops run half-time but remain in perfect sync. You get the tight crispness of the Machine Drum pattern with the crunch of the time-slowed DAW Audio."

Elektron A4 Sync Gen II

Published on Feb 19, 2013 innerclock2004·29 videos

"Sorry for the handheld camera! Quick video showing how Sync-Gen II allows for easy and accurate compensation of start lag in external/slave sequencers and drum machines. The mighty Elektron A4 is a nice example - the Start Lag is just over 23ms which would normally cause some sea sickness when slaved. Sync-Gen II allows for 4096 samples (85ms) Advance or Delay over your DAW External Tempo Sync."

Sync-Lock TR-808 MPC-60.mp4

YouTube via innerclock2004
"In this video we initially hear a recorded TR-808 audio loop playing from Ableton Live 8. As before, Live is driving the Sync-Lock via the Sync-Gen Plugin which is in turn driving a genuine TR-808 via Din Sync and an Akai MPC-60 MKI via Midi Clock. I first mute and then un-mute the TR-808 audio loop in Live so you know what it sounds like in isolation. Next I move to the real TR-808 and turn up the master output. I then turn to the MPC-60 and turn up the master output also. On the MPC-60 I hold the [Note Repeat] button and improvise on the Snare and Hi-Hat in quantized 16ths so you can hear the tight sync with both the real TR-808 and the Live audio loops as well. I turn down the real TR-808 for a few bars so you can hear just the MPC-60 and Live playing in sync and then bring the real TR-808 back up again in the mix. Finally, I take out the audio loop playing in Live laving just the TR-808 and the MPC-60 playing until the fade."

Innerclock Systems Sync-Lock

YouTube via innerclock2004 Innerclock Systems
"Demo showing Ableton Live driving Roland TB-303 and Roland MV-8000 via simultaneous Midi Clock and Din Sync from the Sync-Lock and an FA-101 Soundcard. The Audio Loop playing in Live is identical to the pattern playing from the MV-8000 itself. There is an audio click in Live as a reference so you can hear the Audio Loop in Sync with the grid and you can hear the MV-8000 running off Midi Clock phase when they play together. The TB-303 is in sync with both perfectly. Radical tempo changes do not compromise the sync. The Sync-Gen plug-in allows clock swing which is passed on to the Midi Clock, Din Sync and Analogue Trigger outputs from the Sync-Lock feeding the MV-8000 and the TB-303."

Sync-Gen II Twin MacBook Sync.mp4

YouTube Uploaded by innerclock2004 on Jul 28, 2011

"Two MacBooks both running Ableton Live 8.2.2. Master MacBook running Sync-Gen II driving the Sync-Lock. Precision Midi Clock from Sync-Lock feeds Midi Input on Slave MacBook Soundcard. Sync-Gen II sets overall tempo-sync offset in samples to compensate for start-lag and slave soundcard latency. As the Midi Clock feeding the slave MacBook is sample accurate with zero jitter and does not compete with any other Midi Data traffic - the sync between master and slave computers is very stable and the offset is fixed. No editing, warping or time correcting of samples - all sounds are stock off the Ableton Live Demo install. No track delay, driver compensation or effects used. A pair of outputs from each MacBook recorded directly as a stereo pair into SoundForge 9."

Innerclock Systems Sync-Shift MKIII Video Overview & Demo

Sync-Shift MKIII.mp4

YouTube Published on Apr 24, 2012 by innerclock2004

"Midi Clock and Din-Sync Redefined: Real-Time Tempo-Sync Offset Correction and Slave Syncopation Interface

Dedicated and separate Midi Clock to Din-Sync and Din-Sync to Midi Clock Conversion ICs with ultra-low, constant conversion lag time so your sync offset remains fixed and tight.

Proprietry Innerclock Sync-Shift Din Sync Offset and Real-Time Lag Correction Engine lets you compensate for common hardware and software Midi Clock and Din Sync start lag time issues plus it has two full bars of Shift available so you can easily syncopate sync slave devices or software against the master. The rotary push-pull Shift 'Fine Tune' lets you rush or drag the slave against the groove in real-time with no loss of sync. Go from hard 16th swing to phase-locked grid quantised and back again all in one bar and in real-time.

Modular/Discreet design with no CPU multiple personality disorders. We could have done all three jobs on one chip with a shared instruction set but we didn't. From experience, especially where synchronisation is concerned, sharing hardware resources is a bad idea. Each of the three core components that makes up the Sync-Shift Mk III has its own dedicated IC and ultra-lean code. This means they work great in isolation and there is no loss in performance when you connect them together.

The Sync-Shift MKIII is really three separate, high quality devices in one compact package where the whole truly is greater than the sum of the parts.
