Voices of Resemblance

YouTube Uploaded by obscurewavemusic on Dec 8, 2010

"Voices of Resemblance, Dune in concert, January 31st 2010, Oostduinkerke, Belgium"
"This is a live recording of a track we did in concert last year. There is quite a bit of live sampling with the Elektrix Repeater, a fabulous machine. Other synths used live are microQ, V-synth, KS Rack, UltraProteus, S760, A-station and a few other goodies."

Note this performance was filmed during sound check as they did not want cameras walking around stage during the performance for the audience. The performance was all live.

The Last Witness De Laatste Getuige In Flanders Fields

Published on Nov 9, 2014 philippe ryckman

"Movie directed by Filip Martin ( www.fijnebeeldwaren.be ), original music composed by Philippe Ryckman(www.obscurewavemusic.be ), commissioned by In Flanders Fields Museum, Ypres, Belgium, for the exhibition " The Last Witness ".

The film shows present day footage of the World War I war graves around the City of Ypres, blended with footage from the actual years of war, showing some of the destruction inflicted upon the region."

This one in via Philip Ryckman, Obscure Wave Music:

"Following the commemorating of World War One here in Belgium, here's a movie made by my friend director Filip Martin and for which I wrote the music using mainly Emu, Roland and Ensoniq samplers. The film was commissioned a few years ago by the In Flanders Fields Museum (www.inflandersfields.be) for an exhibition entitled 'The Last Witness'. It shows present day footage of the World War I war graves around the City of Ypres, blended with footage from the actual years of war, showing some of the destruction inflicted upon the region. Film and music aim to be an intimate testimonial and deference."

Posting this one for Veterans Day.

Moon to Roof

follow-up to this post
"Dune in Concert, January 31st 2010. Like the previous two videos, this was shot during

sound-check to avoid having the camera running around in front of the audience during

performance. A few shots from our studio gear thrown in for good measure ( and to compensate for

bad footage...)

At 1:43, you see the Formant modular built by Ludo - the flute player in the video - in

the seventies. It has an EMS-like matrix which is very flexible.

Instruments used live: Elektrix Repeater, Novation A-station and KS rack,Roland V-synth, Kawai K5000,

EMU X-board 25, Roland S760, Emu Ultra-Proteus, Waldorf micro Q. Please enjoy."
