Meeblip at SchneidersBuero

Meeblip at SchneidersBuero from Andreas Schneider on Vimeo.

"Peter Kirn and Andreas Schneider hilighted the most popular workshop at SchneidersBuero Berlin directly after Musikmesse Frankfurt in 2015. Officially introducing the little Meeblip Synthesizers on the desk - one of them is connected to a Future Retro Zillion Stepsequencer, the other one is getting bass lines from HerrSchneiders old XBase09 - they have lots of fun just improvising some beats and rhythms.

On three other videos you will see the workshops introducing the products of Mark Verbos, Tony Rolando and Dan Green soon."

Ken Mcbeth @ Spiegelsalon I Schneidersbuero

Ken Mcbeth @ Spiegelsalon I Schneidersbuero from Andreas Schneider on Vimeo.

"Scotsman Ken Macbeth was the inventor of the probably biggest analogue synthesizer of nowadays, his model M5. His latest masterpiece - the ELEMENTS as introduced 2014 on the european Musikmesse in Frankfurt is now nearly done and will be finished with some first models at least in 2015. Here he is giving a statement of the status of production and a few examples of the sound for this smart desktop synth. it will be produced probably in very limited numbers as all of his products and will end up as a luxury smart synthesizer with lots of Character. Get an impression now."

kick me on a walnut cabinet w/ Dan Snazzelle of Snazzy FX at SchneidersBuero

kick me on a walnut cabinet from HerrSchneider on Vimeo.

"Dan Snazzelle was on tour throghout europe introducing five new modules in Barcelona, Berlin, Netherlands and Czech Republic stopping over at SchneidersBuero to talk about the presentations on Superbooth. Before seeing his wonderful and charismatic Gesprächskonzert from 2016 at the end of this video, we interrupted our conversation with a little teaser for the one by Clifton Cameron in 2017 introducing the Analogue Systems Cabinet currently laying on the desk we are standing at. Unfortunately this one has not been filmed from the beginning, so the concert part is missing but we will make it a theme in one of our next videos anyway."

Korgator Studio Pics up a Synth for Free

Follow-up to this video post. In case you missed it, Jens, aka korgator won the Gotharman from SchneidersBuero for ordering what turned out to be their 10000th delivery. What did he order? Some cables.

"Thanks a lot to all of you btw for nearly 11 years as Schneidersbuero in between. I had a very nice time mostly with nice clients, manufacturers and friends, with all your analogue synthesizers and modular systems, we all hope, you did enjoy it, too"

Rough Trade London Synth Day with Scheidersbuero, Wolfgang Seide & VXXY

Rough Trade East In-store - SYNTHESIZER DAY WITH SCHNEIDERSBUERO & WOLFGANG SEIDEL

"NO WRISTBAND NEEDED, JUST COME DOWN ON THE DAY/NIGHT

SchneidersBuero will celebrate a Synthesizers Day at Rough Trade East in London. There will be several workshops on tools and instruments all over the shop just for one day - apart from usual activities around their glass cabin, aka the testsalon. Moving through RTE will be a new adventure for the audience. All installations will be in sync with each other giving you beats and atmosphere all over the shop from a live performance, differing on where you are and what just happens.

At the front of the shop, HerrSchneider himself will moderate a workshop on several modular systems that will generate an experimental atmosphere of sounds and beats. You are welcome to join him. In other corners of the shop there will be fresh UK based manufacturers of electronic devices playing and presenting their own products in time: Steve Jones, director of Cronic will be playing on his VXXY and The Alphasphere, a controller for beats and performance will be presented by its inventor Adam.

The testsalon itself will, as always, be filled up with modular and desktop synth gear to play and will be performed by several clients and users over the day. Onur Oezer from Istanbul, T.Raumschmiere from Berlin and other artists are asked to come, still t.b.c. The very best moments can be heard over the shops audio system as they are performed live and visible from the cabin.

And as the highlight of the day and the usual daily rough trade instore live act, we are very much looking forward to a performance by Wolfgang Seidel a.k.a. Sequenza and the partner of Conrad Schnitzler (R.I.P) both headliners of the Krautrock era. Wolfgang has also been a headliner of this years Transmediale Berlin and is usually playing jams with old friends or tape concerts in memorial to his dear friend Conrad Schnitzler."

Jan Mueller - Mein erstes Video 2015 - Reon Driftbox

Jan Mueller - Mein erstes Video 2015 - Reon Driftbox from Andreas Schneider on Vimeo.

"(see german text below)
We had a good laugh in SchneidersBuero with the Drifbox that Jan Mueller (alex4) fell in love with. Seeing him performing the unit, listening to the great sound over a gitar-amp behind the table we tried to explain it into the camera but it worked out this way. Anyway. At least for us its funny to see, we re getting better soon.

The Driftbox was a limited production by a small indipendent inventor from Japan known as REON. We could not understand that there are a few units left (available) ex SchneidersLaden still.

Schneiders Buero's Stecken Schrauben Spilen

via Jan:
"i just got off the Musikmesse in Frankfurt (nice evening) with Herrn Schneider from Schneidersbuero / Schneidersladen and he handed me over one book he recently produced:

Look for yourself: [link]

He released a book ( price is around 7 EUR ) covering the history of schneidersbuero with respect to analog synthesizers. Nice photos, dual language footage. Another classic ! You'll get inside information about the analog "makers" of the synths including Cwejmen, MacBeth, Technosaurus, Metasonix and much more.

Lots of pictures, nice to read. Has multiple sections. It's really a - must-have- for the music fan. I think it is buyable at his shop after the fair. Just drop him a visit"

Excellent! I will add this to the Synth Books section on the right of the sight. Update: It's added along with a couple of other books/publications on their site. Remember, Stecken Schrauben Spilen will probably be listed at his shop after the fair. You can reach him via the contact info on the bottom left of the literature shop here.

SchneidersBuero

I've referred to SchneidersBuero in previous posts, however I realize I haven't put up a post on the site itself, so here it goes. Click here to check them out. At the bottom of the page you will see two flags, one for German and one for English. Click the one you want. It is a retail shop but there are plenty of synth resources. Be sure to check out the Sounds link for samples.

flight of harmony newsletter - April 2010

"Greetings All!
It has been quite some time since the last newsletter, but that’s because there’s been so much going on that I just haven’t had time to get one out.

Firstly, an apology for the slowness of my responses to emails lately. For those that hadn’t yet heard, I recently learned (to my surprise) that I had to move, so I did. But, as the saying goes: “when it rains, it pours” or, as I prefer to say, “a lot of shit just happens all at once, it comes in waves”, so I ended up having to take almost two months off of work, and am now working like mad to get back on schedule. Due to all this, the website has not been updated during this time. I have a hard time sitting at the computer when there are things to be built on the workbench, so the site is low on my list of priorities.

I always try to be as professional as possible, but the simple fact is that this is a one-man show (for now, that is…) and it takes a lot of work. Please bear with me.

NEWS
• A new distributor has joined the fold: Geargas - http://www.geargasstore.com/. They now carry the Barebones Pack versions of f(h) modules! Depending on availability, of course.

• The Sound of Shadows eurorack module is available from Analogue Haven, Schneidersbuero, and Post Modular.

• The Sound of Shadows Barebones Pack (SoSBP) is now available, either direct or from Geargas, $125.00. The SoSBP works on a supply range from ±9V to ±15V and has an MOTM 4-pin power connecter standard, Doepfer-style connecter on request. The SoSBP web page is not up yet, hopefully soon though.

• Two special limited-edition Infernal Noise Machines are available from Big City Music. Each of these has a solid walnut housing, hand-made by George Mattson. I must say they look damn nice!

JOYSTICKS
As some of you have noticed, both the Choices modules and the Infernal Noise Machines are currently in short supply due to a shortage in the supply of joysticks. Now, after several months of waiting, I have finally received a response from the factory, so it is time for another group buy. These are brand-new joysticks, not “New Old Stock”. If you are interested in joining in, please contact me at: joystickbuy at flightofharmony.com for more details.

Thank you all very much for your support and patience, I am only able to offer these products because of you!
